Great improvement
The course is in much better condition then it ever was under the old management. This time of year you have to expect some spottieness on the fairways no matter where you play. Tee times are booked a little close too close together causing some slow play and multiple groups backed up on some tee boxes. Sandtraps still need filling, but until they put the rakes back out (stupid covid rules) playing out of any trap is tough no matter how much sand is in them. For the price it's hard to beat this course. I look forward to playing it again soon. Thank you to the new management for bringing new life to a dying course.
Exciting changes coming
The course was sold in the spring. Right now they are preparing to fix the tees and fairways
Love playing there but the greens and tee boxes are in terrible shape.
Pinelands august
Course in decent shape. Fairways and greens good. Tee boxes need work
A bit slow pace of play but expected for a summer weekend. Good deal for the money
sparse grass
Tee boxes, were not flat and mostly dirt. Fairways and greens were spotty with sparse grass. Teed off about 20 minutes late because they did not have enough carts. I probably should have given it a 1 star rating, but I like the course layout.
Good round with friends and a fourth we connected with
Pace was was slow (group in front of us) but steady. The course got hit with a couple of storms so it was in a drying state for most of the fairways. It was cart path or rough only with carts. We did good considering the conditions. I recommend this course.
Could be a nice course
Course was in pretty bad shape. Tees were pretty worn and mostly dirt.
Fairways were ok in most places but also torn up pretty bad in spots.
A lot of rain and hot weather has taken its toll
Dog track
The staff was incredibly nice. However the course is probably the worst I’ve ever seen a golf course. It’s not even worth 20 dollars to play I rather chip around in my yard that actually has grass
Great course for the price. The staff are very friendly.
Drainage issues
Huge dead spots/mud flats in the fairways because of poor drainage. They are spending a lot of time and money on the club house and restaurant would like to see that being spent on the course.
I had a relaxing day of golf and actually got hooked up with a former Phillies player who was very cool. I didn’t play very well that day. But the sun was shining and the company was great.
They have not kept up with maintaining this course
Played here in mid May a week after golf courses were allowed to open and it was in great shape. The layout is not too shabby and this place can be good. But right now it’s in awful shape. Tee boxes are all dirt and the fairways are really beat up. The greens were so so which is about all I can say. I hope they figure out the maintenance but I would not play here right now.
Keep Improving
This course definitely has potential to get better. Pace of play was great as we didn’t encounter any backups through our round. Recent rainstorms didn’t do the course any favors as we found on nearly every hole there was a patch of fairway that was completely soaked or underwater. Biggest disappointment was that Most of the tee boxes were so chewed up we couldn’t even find a patch of grass to plant the tee into. Some of the greens were patchy as well, but overall playable. The layout of the course was nice, and it was a good challenge for a couple amateur golfers. But, the soggy fairways and dirt-ridden tee boxes were a bit of a disappointment. Would go back once they have the rest of the improvements made.
Nice
First time playing this course, very pleased. Obvious summer heat/rain problems, but overall not in b a d shape. Will definitely plsy again.
Jack, Rio Grande
They’re “trying”
reviews repeatedly say that the new owners are trying and that the course is better than years past. I gave pinelands a try to find out.
My mistake. $29 spent and lesson learned.
They’re going to be trying for another 1-2 years before it’s worth playing - at any discounted rate.
All tee boxes are mud.
All fairways are patching at best.
Greens are terribly slow.
Cart paths are a wreck.
Colllars and rough are embarrassing.
I okayed with players who knew the course over the years and they swear its improved - but it has a long long way to go.
