Rough is Rough
Overall the course is in really good condition. The rough is tough, if you can find your ball, you may break your wrists trying to hit it. I'm not sure why, but every time I play this course I have multiple putts lip out. This time is was 7 putts that lipped out of the cup. Doesn't happen on any other courses with this frequency.
Terrific Course
Great conditions and a nice challenging tract. We all love the improvements, It’s so nice to have another great course to play that doesn’t cost a fortune.
Good and bad for the MD start
Got an afternoon launch with the weather forecast okay until 4 or so. Cart path only for the entire course. No exceptions. No worries but as we played “Cart Path” arrow signs were being put in up towards the greens. As we moved along, a single grounds keeper kept throwing signs into the ground and then picking them out and throwing them back in; this happened for 4 complete cycles in front of the green we were playing at the time. After I advanced to my ball location I assumed he would move. No, he continued 2 more laps in front of us, picking up and throwing down the cart path signs. I yelled to look out and launched my ball, at the green, and in his immediate direction. He moved and then continued to throw signs…
Not for nothing but this guy needs help and kept away from pointy things.
Other than getting a hole in one … tree center (non retrievable) the round lasted a couple more holes before the skies opened up.
Except for the sign thrower and the tree hole out and the rain, it was a good time at
Pinelands.
first time back
This is the first time I've played here since the renovations were completed. They turned out well. Course was in good shape. The marshal tried to get the group in front of us to keep moving but I guess there is only so much he can do.

Pinelands is a great value for the money and currently is in great shape
Close to completion
I first played Pinelands in 2020, just when they started renovating. Haven’t played since 2022 and am pleased with what they have now. Every aspect of the course was above average. Great cart paths. 5 tough par 3s with the shortest being the last of them at 155 yards from white tees.
I really liked the overall experience. Playing as a single, sometimes you get paired with people that you don’t really vibe with. I’ll be trying to bring my 4some here soon.
