Great course
Springvale is well maintained and the starters are friendly. The course is fair but still gives nice challenge.
No respect of your time
Played this course on 6/28 and the overall experience was not great. My buddy and I got there with 15 min before our tee time. Walked into the clubhouse to check in and pay with 10 minutes to spare. We are then left standing in line while the lady behind the counter and another gentleman who works there talk about sharpening pencils. She finally checks us in with 1 minute to spare. We go outside and get told by the starter and other staff that we are late. We were ready to leave then but we decided to play anyway. Pace of play was really REALLY slow with them refusing to send people off the back. We were talked to twice about playing faster while to twosome ahead of us kept us waiting. Course condition is ok. For the $42 I spent, I can recommend 3 other course for better value.
Course conditions were fantastic.
The course at Springvale is in great shape. Fairways and greens were in great shape. The course layout is perfect for average golfer and offers better players a chance to put up some low scores. Kudos the Course Superintendent and staff at Springvale!!!
Great Course
My only complaint with my experience was pace of play. It wasn’t terrible, but on a cart path only day, I feel like the clubhouse should adjust tee times to be slightly further apart. Constantly waiting as well as constantly having the group behind us waiting was not fun. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this course. It’s short enough for beginners to have a chance to do well, but has enough “trouble” to require good ball placement and distance control from more advanced players. For being in the dead of fall, this course was in great shape. I would love to play again as long as 18 holes doesn’t take 5 hours.
Once a Year @ The Vale
Nice warm day 65*, but extremely wet grounds made for CPO.......and with 2-groups per hole, a slow pace-of-play. Everything was soft, greens & tees mushy, but that due to rains & not controlled by course superintendent. I like to play here at least once a year, and greatly recommend the GN Hot Deals. I got teamed with a couple great guys, one of which I knew when he was a boy 25yrs ago. We had a great time reminiscing (all while waiting on the groups ahead). The starter was a gentleman of golf, and the Bar was a fun place to replay the round, which in my case was poor front9 & good back9 (of 38). Again, a nice fun sunny day of mid-October, Thanx for the value rate.
