I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the fairways and greens at Springvale. We had a full 4 group and played in just a hair over 4 hours. Never felt rushed and never waited on a group. Only critique is that the bunkers could use some work, but don't hit it there and it's not a problem. Overall, would recommend.
Terrible service
After our round we went into clubhouse to get a post round beer. Employees seemed upset so We decided to have our drink outside. As we were walking out the lady said “Get the F out”. Still very confused on why she said that.
Kind & friendly staff
The staff was five stars. Course was awesome as well
Nice layout. Was in great condition. Greens were pretty smooth and quick.
one of the best courses around the cleveland area
i love this course it's very challenging and maintained so well
Nice Course With Very Well Maintained Greens
1st time playing here and only had time to play 9 holes. Balls in the rough were hard to find due to the fall foliage on the ground. Overall, I really enjoyed the course - greens were in phenomenal shape for early November.
Depends on day... or time of play?
took over five hour to play - and "we" were that group! (I can play a difficult course in under 3.5 hrs myself) we were paired up with two golfers that were swapping clubs, hitting the ball all over the place and not keeping up to the pace of play. by the 8th hole the ranger politely asked the two to speed up (they just laughed and said we paid to play -- to us when he left.) they were nice folks - but really needed to go to a par 3 course vs a 18 hole course. Not a fun round.
As far as the course itself, leaves were all over the place - and it was not possible to find a well hit ball on more than a few occasions. greens/fairways were full of leaves. That didn't help the pace of play either - but I drop if I can't find a ball in 30 seconds of where I think the ball should have been.
- I'm sure it could be better on other days.
old guy heaven
After I skipped a hole 13 and bypassing 4 guys who were dead to the world of anyone else playing I completed my round without delay
Those guys seemed more interested in their phones and yapping then playing golf.
This course needs a ranger on busy days
SpringVale is Fun Convenient Course
I've been playing SpringVale for probably 50yrs, and I say recent course conditions were excellent. Greens rolling quick & true, holding good approach shots (please repair ball marks ---always more than the one you might have made). Layout is simple, a few parallel holes (probably my only complaint), a couple of tree-guarded doglegs, but #11 is good golf hole Thanx to GN for the discounted Hot Deals, and also the starter joining me into a fun 3some. The staff is really nice, and 19th hole is good place to review scorecard. I played well this day, but dblebogie last hole (poor approach from middle fwy, along with only 3putt of day) has me wanting return match.
Luv SpringVale
I'm biased cuz this is the first course I broke par on about 45yrs ago . ..but course in excellent condition, greens smooth & true (maybe a bias cuz I putted well with <30putts).. Thanx to GN for Hot Deals cost, but as a single I got joined with great guys & we had fun in a a <4hr round. Course in great shape tee to green ..... convenient location, short fun course, but challenging. I know I'll be back, need to rectify the few Bogies I had on this glorious fall day.
Fun course!
Springvale was a fun course to play and I got placed (as a single) with 2 great guys. It was a fun round and made some new friends while playing in a new area. Only downfall was that I left my putter cover and windbreaker in the cart and never got them back, I called and left my number, but no return call. Otherwise, I will be playing there again. Fun course for a great price!
Awful
We got paired up with a couple who would hit between two and four balls from EACH SHOT, pace of play was taking up to 25 minutes per hole. The ranger drove by several times, doing and saying nothing. We had a terrible experience.
