The Bugs are HORRIBLE
Love everything about this course the gnats and flys will eat you alive and swarm you in groves!!!!
Excellent Course
Very difficult (for me). Course management is a must because of the layout; shorter course yardage wise but they make up for it with thoughtful complexity. You can't bomb every hole and expect it to work out with the hazards. Water is more of an issue than the bunkers, and trees aren't really an issue unless you are a fair bit off the fairway.
Biggest drawback, avoid this course if it is actively raining or has rained heavily that week. Very likely to flood.
Overpriced unfriendliness
We played this course Sat and Sun and both days we were caught up in tournaments. We were told to go off on #10 this morning only to find carts stacked up and they’d been told the same. We had an 8:06 tee time and the young man working the counter showed up to open the pro shop at about 7:50. He was in a rush and came off as pressured to do his job, which didn’t surprise me as our game Sat I encountered an older gentleman and woman working the counter that had smug attitudes too. The greens are fair condition with a couple in rough condition. Fairways and tee boxes were a bit soggy, but this course has had a drainage issue for awhile. Locally you’ll find Cypress Creek, Greystone and Eagle Hill in far better shape for the same money and you’ll find their staff much more friendly. Honestly it’s a good course but I’ve never found the smugness of the Jenkins crew worth the extra coin. Pro shop items are extremely expensive so don’t forget anything. A hat and bucket of range balls cost me $51.
Lovely course
Enjoyed the people and the location. Recommend this course to everyone for a midrange midweek round
Great value
Great for the money. Nice facility and staff. Course in good shape. Challenging greens but small
Coming out of winter
Some poana in the greens and some algae on #10 green, but just we are just coming out of winter. They usually look nice, so I have no doubt these will be corrected. Course recently experienced a slight flood, so some debris to be cleaned up. Otherwise, had a good round.
This Place Has Gone To Pot!!
Went to play a round with my buddy from work today at CCA bc he had never been before.. I felt like an idiot!! The course is in horrible shape!! The green were scalped, and had weeds in most of them. The traps hadn’t been raked in what looked like a solid 3 to 5 days along with the holes that were cut obviously dayyyyss ago bc the were dead and crusty all around the edges of the cup… There also was no water in any of the coolers that are stationed at only 2 holes on the entire course. The owners may need to look into hiring someone that knows how to manage a golf course… I won’t be back
Could be great
Greens are so bad it’s a disgrace to call it Arkansas’s country club
