Dont waste your time or money
Choctaw creek golf course is over priced and horrible. Everything is horrible. From the friendliness of the staff to the club house, the carts, the condition of the course, and anything else you can think of. The city should shut it dow and turn it into a housing developement. The owners spend no money on the course. The course is in poor condition. It is horrible. I cant wait till John Conrad in Midwest City reopens this month.
Fairways need cut
Fairways had grass an inch long on some holes.
Greens were in pretty good shape.
Very, very bad?
This course is in my top 2 WORST courses that I've ever played. I can't believe I paid $54 to play it (twosome).
The carts were so slow that I could have walled faster backward. Just pitiful.
The tee boxes were bare. There was barely any grass on them.
I hit a ball down the left of the fairway on #5 and realized as I was walking up to it that there were a few balls from the driving range on the fairway. Very annoying...
Then, I went to #6 and realized there roughly 1,000 balls from the driving range on that fairway. Seems the course couldn't be bothered to put up a freakin' net to keep the range balls off the course.
I quit after 6 holes because I didn't feel like enduring the torture any longer. Then, on the way out, the net on the OTHER side of the range was blowing half way across the road so as to try to catch people leaving.
I'll never play this "course" again. No self-respecting player should. Make the drive to the next nearest course and enjoy your round instead.
Horrible Management
Went to play a round on a Sunday afternoon. Upon showing up, they said that I was unable to play due to an all-day kids tournament. Fair enough - I call TeeOff to get a refund and when they called the course, they stated that I was able to play even with the kids tournament going on, which was the exact opposite of what I was told when I showed up. TeeOff was unable to provide a refund for this reason.
Swamp
The golf carts are dated they were very jerky it had rained the night before but drainage was a nightmare it was a swamp out there the layout is terrible very confusing we missed a few holes just know proper signage they did not offer a rain check or anything of any kind due to the weather the driving range was closed I would not recommend I will not be going back
Compared to other OKC courses
The golf cart was the worst I have ever used, if it was any more underpowered I would have had to leave my clubs in the car. The grass on the fairways varied from thin and sparse to full of weeds. The greens were in okay shape. The layout consisted of mostly straight tee to green with no imagination and minimal obstacles. Compared to other courses in the area it ranks at the bottom.
Enjoyed the course, first time playing. Got behind very slow players (6 some) that didn't know the courtesy of allowing us to play thru.
Nice greens
Course layout is okay but fairways are in good condition and greens are in very good condition. Definitely recommend playing for the price.
Fun course
This is not the best maintained course, but is a fun course ti play.
Good course
I enjoyed playing this course. The fairways had a lot of deep grass right off the fairway. The greens were in good shape. I would recomment this course tomy frieds.
Not impressed
4.50 for a small bucket of low quality range balls on a long grass driving range. One small practice putting green. The carts were suspect at best very jerky to take off but also very slow. The options for drinks and snacks was very limited. Almost non existent. We've had a lot of rain this year but it's been over a week since it's rained and the front nine is a swamp. The staff and maintenance are inconsiderate and completely unorganized. The greens on the entire course are very good and the last 6 holes are pretty fun. There are some holes in really good condition but no chance I'm spending 40 bucks and 4 hours out there again anytime soon.
It’s okay if you have nowhere else to play.
Good conditions for what it is. The greens were in great shape. Just a very poor hole layout, and the golf cart we were given had quite a few issues. It’s an okay course. I don’t think I will be golfing here again though.
Bogey golfer
So the course's greens are 40%. That's being nice. The annual green fees until Jan 2018 are $650 including tax with cart , Bam, no kidding until 28 Feb 2017. Beers are $2.00. Happy Gilmore's home course. Come Join the Choctaw men's leagues; all are welcome Slice'ers are the norm.
Save Your Time and Money
The course is in poor shape. It's sad to see how terrible the greens have become. I played the course 2 years ago and was excited about coming back, however I was very disappointed. Even at $20 for 18 holes and a cart I felt I was ripped off. Save your money, save your time, and play elsewhere.
It's not their fault
The layout of the course is a bit weird. The greens are gone. The fairways are decent. The rough don't matter. This has been a private ownership club open to the public and the owners have not been willing to spend any money to keep the course up. I understand it has now been taken by the city and that 'should' be a boon to this course as I'm sure they will understand they MUST spend to make income, so maybe next year this course 'may' have a chance to be better...?...
choctaw
The course was in the middle of owner transition. The course is in very rough shape. Not a whole lot of personality. Knowing the condition of the course, the owners should have charged no more than $10.0 per round. That would have been a fair price
Poor course conditions
I've never played a course so poorly maintained. The greens were just dirt. Impossible to putt on them. Fairways had so many leaves you couldn't find your ball. I've played this course many times but it's never been this bad. Will not play it again any time soon.
