Good value, nice to walk
Par 4s easy, Par 3s challenging. Chance to hit lots of long irons.
Great value
Well maintained. Great value. Will play here again
Extremely slow
Our round would have been much more enjoayble if it weren't for the terribly slow, unbelievably rude threesome in front of us. They were oblivious to anyone else on the course as well as to their snails like pace.
It was clear after the round they were regulars as they were yukking it up with the staff.
Three Courses!
Short 9 hole courses, but there are three of them. Meanders through beautiful housing development. Well maintained, pretty straight-forward with no novelty or better than average interesting holes. Greens are "normal" - maintained well but not overly fast making STRAIGHT putts necessary. Gets pretty boggy when raining.
great value
First time vistor.
Easy walkable short course to enjoy. Dont need cart with this great golfnow value.
The course is nice and green. The greens has a few postage stamp size for testing your accuracy and shot making ability. Not very long holes. I didnt need a driver at all. All par 3's and 4's.
Some natural aspects came into play. Tree branches, leaves, and some water.
Overall. A very enjoyable walking round. My new playing partner was a golfnow customer just like me. He was a delightful gentleman that makes "walking on" a positive at this course. Hey, even the four ladies in front of let us play through, while they handled their "fireball". That was cute to see, brought a smile to a fella knowing they're doing what I would be doing with four buddies on a golf course.
Like Arnold said " I'll be back".
For the time of year the course was in good shape and greens great
The course is not difficult but it is allways enjoyable to play
sand from tee box to green
No aeration alert given by either the course or golfnow.com. Why playing on a course full of sands from tee box to green paying the full price? More than half of the holes were shortened by about fifty yards due to heavy sands on tee boxes. Had I know the facts, I wouldn't have played there.
Very Good
Charbonneau is very easy to get to, with 3 nine hole layouts, all a little different with challenges. Although they are all par 31, w/ no par 5's, the courses are all challenging enough for men, women of all ages.
I try and play there as often as I can
Don't make a road trip here but come play if its convenient.
Great course for locals. My only beef is that pace of play is not monitored at all regardless of what the score card says. It can take a long time to play a round. Have your smart phone charged up to kill some time between holes.
Par 3/4 fun
Long par 3's and short par 4's makes for a fun outing. Still, too much goose goo here and there, but what are ya gonna do-do?
The best course in the Portland area for older golfers.
The course is in very good condition. The practice areas are quite good. The holes are short, but they do test your skills. This is the best course in the Portland area for older golfers.
Pleasant day
Played the red and green (9 hole) courses. The red course seemed easier; fewer sand traps and water hazards.
No par 5's on this course. If I recall correctly only 1 hole over 300 yards.
The course is fairly level, and it's well-maintained. Played in a foursome with others in front of us who were a little slow at times, but it moved along OK overall. Keep in mind the course is situated within a retirement community-there were plenty of golfers out and it was mid-week. I would play there again.
Wonderful experience.
Well maintained, easy to walk, wonderful trees (yes, I hit a few), water too. Plenty of challenges.
fun course
Great condition. For an executive course it has it's challenges with sand traps and water.
Fun executive course.
Great place to walk and work on your short game. Not crowded at all.
Fun course.
We had a great time. This is an executive course, no par 5 s, but it has some really good par 3 s. Course was in great shape. Will play here again.
Great short course.
This is a great course to play for practice in the summer but I have been there in the FAll and Spring and it is soggy and the greens aren't well maintained mostly because it is so wet. It has par 3 holes and short par 4s which for me, an intermediate player, makes a cheap course to practice especially if you get a hot deal on golfnow. It has a driving range and lots of trees but has houses all around. A good course to walk for exercise and short hole practice.
Great par 62 executive course!
Great little executive, par 62 course. Winds through beautiful, development with mature, large trees lining the fairways. It's 27 hole layout which they rotate so that those who just want to play 9 can do so without getting the 18 holers out of position. The greens are terrific and there are some challenging carries over water. Couple this with the availability of some GolfNow deals and this is a can't miss experience.
Great course to practice short game.
Nice course to practice short game. Par 4s are short, but you have to hit it straight and have a good 2nd shot from inside 100. Par 3s can be challenging. Bunkers are surprisingly well maintained. Very good value for the money. I'll be back.
While we are young
Good course to work on your short game but able to incorporate long game
