About
Bethlehem Golf Club has both a championship course and a nine-hole executive course. The championship Monocracy Course is a demanding layout that will require the use of every club in your bag. Designed by William and Dan Gordon, the course is a local favorite that has a four-star rating from Golf Digest and has been ranked as one of the 100 must-play golf courses in the Philadelphia area. The par-71 layout stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees. The par 3s and par 4s are long, and there are a few reachable par 5s if you can keep it straight. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow, tree-lined fairways. The gently rolling terrain has subtle changes in elevation that can cause some tricky uneven lies. Bethlehem Golf Club's undulating greens require accurate shot placement and they are often protected by strategically placed bunkers

Very enjoyable
Although it was close to 100 degrees, there was a slight breeze and the pace of play was excellent. The course was well maintained and we only paid $37 with carts. It's very challenging from the tips but we played it at about 6700yds which was plenty for our handicaps(5-21). We'll probably go back every year, even though it's more than an hour away from our homes in New Jersey. Definitely worth the trip.
Greens are in great shape, plays long off the tips.
The course is in nice shape overall. Some of the bunkers were too hard and there are areas of ground under repair that are marked. . Greens were great, fairways were very nice, and the rough was heavy when we went. Hitting a shot into the rough makes it hard to find and play the ball. I thought it played very long off the blues.
Well maintained with risk reward design.
This course always has lush fairways and fair greens. The bunkers are fair and selective. I love the way the pine trees are cropped from the bottom up so poor shots can be found and played.
