Fun course in great shape
Carmichaels is a small town with a nice "hometown" golf course. The front nine is longer with a normal par, while the back nine is shorter and only includes par 3's and 4's. This doesn't take away from the excellent quality of the course though, as everything was lush and green and well maintained.
The course has an appropriate amount of water and trees without being too much, and has enough up and down to add variety without being overwhelming, especially the back nine. One thing missing from the course is sand traps, but I'm not sure the course needs many to begin with.
The buildings and amenities are nice, and the price was definitely worth it. Pace of play was excellent when I played on a weekday afternoon. I recommend this course to anyone in the Greene or Fayette County area.
