Great Place to Learn the Game
I’ve been playing Grassy Lane for about a decade now. It started as a good place to hack it around in high school. I played it for the first time in a few years and was pleasantly surprised at how well it has held up, as well as improvement. Tee boxes have been moved slightly and the eighth hole was been redesigned to improve drainage around the green, and looks fantastic to add a new wrinkle in a simple course design.
The course is extremely short (several par 4s that are either under 300 yards or close to it) and is a great place for beginners to learn. I took my sister here (she’s never been on a course) and it was an enjoyable experience. Not a lot of break to the greens, but the course has held up great for how hot and dry it’s been this summer.
Nice small-time course
Definitely enjoy playing at this 9-hole course. I play here maybe half a dozen times a year and have yet to have a bad experience. Every year that passes, this course gets better. Would definitely recommend to any beginning golfer.
