Augusta like greens
the greens are immaculate, the staff are the best in the business, tip do not go above the hole.
Nice track!
Background- I’m use to playing mid-higher end courses around the Indy area.
Family owned course- friendly accommodating staff, the food was excellent, the fairways have 90% recovered from the Summer heat the area suffered, the greens were slick and I’m guessing a 10-11 on the Stimpmeter. Rolled true, fast, and smooth, the course’s layout was good, pace of play was great- we tees at 0804 and replayed at 1230 after a GOOD cheeseburger and fresh cut fries.
Cons- the cart paths were bad, they encouraged us to travel where we could.when we could and they were re-doing some bunkers- understood.
Enjoy this gem.
Victory Hills
The drought and hot summer caused numerous bare spots but almost all courses in the area have the same issues. I have to commend the grounds crew and management...they have an extensive project under way to rebuild the sand bunkers on the course. (Unlike their competition Butler’s Golf Course) Victory Hills major drawback are the cart paths (or lack of). What they have looks (and feels) like a B52 carpet bombing.
The staff and price still makes worthwhile to play
For $29
Fairways were ok. Greens were fantastic. Cart paths really bad. I really enjoyed my low cost round here. The staff is fantastic. The course was fun to play and the greens were in fantastic shape. I will definitely play again when I travel through Pittsburgh again
Cart path
The course is in very good condition considering the drought like weather. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant. The cart paths and sand traps need immediate repair.
Course is playing great!
I have been playing here since high school but this was only the second time I played here this summer. Compared to other courses during this hot summer the course is being maintained and watered very well. The greens are amazing and roll very nice. Short course with a medium to hard layout. I love playing here!
Good Value
Nothing fancy, just a nice golf course and a good value. An enjoyable round of golf. The staff was friendly. Nice greens. Will definitely play it again.i
challenging greens
Friendly staff
These greens are some of the most challenging in the area ... consistent and fair ... if you can putt good here, you should be able to putt anywhere.
Would have given it perfect rating, but some of the cart paths are under repair ... also good pear tree on right of #18 fairway *yum*
Great course, friendly people
Played 9 holes there for the first time today and really enjoyed the vistas and Overall length . Cartpaths need some attention but nice course, great value
Great time
Played the course with some first timers, & some who were familiar. Everyone had a blast. Nice pace, nice conditions, fair price,. Nothing to complain about.
Easygoing
The course was very well manicured. Greens and tee box are in excellent condition for the dry weather, cart paths are under repair
Very disappointed
This course is a real mess. Cart paths were not driveable! Had to drive in rough, which was rough. Fairways are half gone. Rough is all burned out. Greens were nice and consistent. Many sand traps were under construction. Playing partner literally lost a shoe in a trap on 18. This place is a joke. Won't ever go back.
It’s still a favorite...
The Course layout has always been a favorite and the only reason it’s not a 5-star choice is because of the deteriorated cart paths. Although the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape, management continues to ignore the broken, eroded and dangerous cart paths that not only rattle a body, but must wreak havoc with the carts, too...C’mon Man!!!
