Split Rock Golf Club - North Course
About
Split Rock Resort & Golf Club is nestled in the western region of the Pocono Mountains along the banks of Lake Harmony. The club has 27 holes of championship golf as well as an 18-hole miniature golf course for the kids. Split Rock's North Course is an 18-hole layout that is supplemented by the South nine, which can be combined with either the front or back nine of the North. Stretching to 7,150 yards from the tips, the North Course offers plenty of room with several holes that will appeal to long hitters. Mature trees line the fairways and strategically placed bunkers surround the greens on every hole. Water hazards make an appearance on only four holes but they are memorable ones, especially par-5 fifth where golfers have to contend with not one but two lakes.

First time playing course. Friendly front 9, back 9 more challenging. Lots of uphill and downhill lies. Starter very friendly and gave me valuable insight on playing course (driver, maybe 4 times), target golf! Condition of course was very good, even with rain prior night. Will look forward to playing again!
Watch what you are paying for
Split Rock is a beautiful facility, however they only let you play there South, nine hole course twice on a hot deal. If you can get a better 18 hole rate somewhere else I would recommend it.
Beautiful Course
This is truly a beautiful course. But as a warning , it was extremely difficult for me. The only reason for my downgrading is the degree of difficulty in playing. However, low handicap players should have little difficulty playing Split Rock . There are many blind shots and hazards not seen from the fairway. Once a ball is in the rough or beyond take a quick look and move on. Highly recommend a GPS or range book to help scope out shots. Intermediate players have a better chance for lower scores after the first time playing. Good luck!
Great course but difficult for 1st time playing
Its a beautiful course, well conditioned, great staff, the best in the region. However, the course is not for the high handicap or beginner player. We came upon a family with two kids that should never been allowed to play. Also, were greatly slowed down by foursomes of inebriated players. Players searching for balls also slows things up. Off the rough its impossible ti find balls...just give up. Inspite of all this, I highly recommend the course for competent players...great place.
I thought it was expensive to play the scores compared to the other courses in the area
hot deals split rock
we played the old 9 hole course twice short and tight . seemed like it was the first day that course was open greens were great the rest of the course was a little rough. they put the hot deals on that course instead of the north course which is much nicer
arrived early for tee time. almost nobody there.weather typical Pocono cold, damp, and misty.treated terribly would not let us tee off early.hey need better people skills. guess you get what you pay for.
Mid life
Great mountain course one that I enjoy playing yearly . Front nine plays relatively short.Back nine plays long and tight.Smart club selection is a must .Shot makers paradise !! Staff is very professional. Restaurant is fantastic. Looking forward to playing here again .
Championship Course
There were 4 of us on a mini golf holiday. This course rates amongst the highest on the list of courses we have played. The vistas the layout everything was first class. The course ate us up but we didn't mind. Combine that with the outstanding value it was an great great day.
My husband and I booked a 'hot' deal for this past Tuesday - instead of a hot deal lets say we got burned. For the past few years we have booked hot deals at Split Rock - we live the course. Payed about 27 with tax. If you book one of these be sure to read the fine print - they now put you out for 9 holes on the north course and 9 holes on their old south course which they also use for foot golf. Conditions were beyond terrible - dandelions on tee boxes, sand traps with a pipe coming out of it, the grass was so high - I called it the cow pasture - just deplorable. Would not recommend this deal to anyone!
Spring golf
Nice track. Early spring, beautiful day. A bit squishy so they couldn't cut, and the greens were very slow. Nice staff. Will be fun in several more weeks.
First Day Season Heaven!
I loved the course and the area, the staff and the price! Well, we were pretty much only one twosome out of maybe two or three on the course. It was cold but beautiful. Several really fun and wonderfully designed holes.
Great round
Went out as a twosome at 7:00 on a Saturday. Didn't see another person in front of behind us. Great pace
Beautiful course
I had a hot deal and was my last day in the Poconos so I figured I'd get in what I could after a rainy evening and a cloudy start to the day. I went out as a single and had to skip two holes, but played the other 16 in a bit over two hours. Many of the holes were memorable with huge elevation changes that often required precise shots. Out of bounds was gone - you'd need to defoliate to find a lost ball, but that made play quicker. Sorry I won't have a chance to play here again.
We are sorry we could not let you tee off early.
Our Course and the Hot Deal Policy is to hold people to their tee times because of the greatly discounted price being paid for that specific time.
Thank You
