One of the best in Poconos
Definitely my favorite. Nice greens and well kept course. Can play here any number of times !!
Enjoyable
Scenic and peaceful. Played 18 holes in 3:15.Challenging variety of holes in great condition.
The people here are the best, so is the course
My friend and I meet here, halfway between Baltimore and Syracuse, to play a couple of courses and do 1 overnight in Wilkes-Barre. We're both retired now and we play here every year in the PM, and it's ALWAYS a great time. Great layout. A real variety of holes with fabulous conditions. Very scenic and secluded. Worth the trip. Difficult course for high handicappers. Play up a tee box and enjoy it more!
The greens here are perfect, but large and undulating, with a few shelf areas and multiple tiers. The wind here can be unreal, but not this perfect day. Maybe because it wasn't windy they put out the18 hardest pin placements we've ever play here, Monday 6/1. We speculated with the other twosome we were paired with on other reasons the pins might be so challenging. This is the one I can write about. Made it probably 5+ shots harder, with several run-aways if you went 6 inches past a pin.
The ridges and knolls also rejected a lot of wedge or iron shots that would have been close and made 2 putt a real challenge. It's a mountain track, with plenty uphill, downhill and sidehill lies. No water. The rough was penal in places, and OB is everywhere, left, right, long, with well placed, and well maintained, traps on every hole. There are good and bad misses on almost every shot. Play smart! If I lived within an hour, I'd play here every week.
The people here are so nice. We had a nice lunch before and a beer afterward. We highly recommend this course. I used GolfNow to play for $35/man, a steal. The regular rate is $59 during the week, and it's still a bargain. Go here!
Jack Frost
Love this course! In great shape but the greens were TOUGH! Beautiful day, great staff and well worth any price, highly recommend!
Great course
This is a championship course with breathtaking panoramic views of the Poconos. The greens were tough, and the fairways were long. I will definitely come back a few more times to see if I can conquer Jack Frost.
A great course hide in the Pocono Mountains
"Second time here and Jack Frost didn't disappoint. The design is brilliant—you rarely see another group thanks to the secluded hole layouts. It’s challenging but fair for all handicaps. Incredible views throughout the round, including a few holes that you'll be thinking about long after you finish. Top-tier public golf."
Fun day at Jack Frost
The course was in good condition for early May. Even though we caught a cold and pretty windy day we had a nice time. I was surprised how fast and fun the undulating greens were for this early in the year. The course was still quite wet and the pace of play was only OK but fun was had by all.
Aerated greens
The greens were aerated about a week ago but were still in great shape.
Always Great!
You’ll enjoy Jack Frost! Each hole is spaced out and it’s on its own.
A bunch of doglegs, so keep that in mind.
Get there early to use the excellent Practice Facility.
Worth the drive!
Beautiful, Well Managed Golf Course
What a beautiful course! My foursome of my father, wife and friend had an 11am tee time in which there was a frost delay that morning. When we checked in, they made us aware of a potential delay but were able to catch things up so we were able to tee off on time.
The course condition was really good even though it was just aerated 3-4 days prior so I can’t wait to see it in a few weeks. This round was a deal on GolfNow so it was an absolute steal when you consider the quality of course that is Jack Frost!
Good condition
Greens were great. Course is well kept and challenging to play.
