Constructive Criticism …
The course, staff, conditions, and weather were all good! A great day!
My tee time was 6:40am. There wasn’t a Starter at that time. I pulled up to the 1st hole and after waiting for a 4some to tee off another 2some arrived early (6:50am). They politely asked us to play first and we had no issues with that except for the fact that there was a 4 in front. I offered to play as another 4some to keep things moving. We did. It was fine for all.
What I am getting to is if there was a Starter at that time he could’ve kept the pace by grouping us in the first place. It all worked out because I kind of insisted that we play together.
All good. Great time. Good pace… not great pace for that time of the morning. We finished in 4 hours and never had to wait or pushed. We even let a single play through.
Lastly… No one repairs ball marks on the green. So sad. The ground keepers have their work cut out.
Keep up the good work. I’ll cya again shortly. 🏌🏿♂️😎🏌🏿♂️
Good course
Layout is good -- some interesting holes that are challenging, but not too tough. It's pretty short - Par 70 - and many of the Par 4's are in the low-mid 300's. Be ready to hit lots of 3-woods and short irons. Overall, enjoyable.
Complaints: First, Pinecrest has to find a way to make players fix their ball marks and divots, especially ball marks. The greens are nice and well laid out, but every green has way way too many un-repaired ball marks. Second -- there are few yardage markers out there; if you don't have a range finder, you are guessing on distances all day. Make yardage markers visible and consistent, especially on the Par 3 tees!
Third -- Speaking of yardage, the yardages on the score card is nothing like the yardages on the tee box signs. Some of them were are much as 60 yards difference, even on Par-3's. On every Par 3 tee box, we had no idea what the distance was.
Fun course in excellent shape
Played the last week in June and was impressed with the greens. They looked great and rolled well. The course is moderately challenging because it is a housing development course which makes for a few tight holes, but arguable one of the tightest tee shots is the 14th hole where OB is less than 5 yards from the right of the tee box. My only other issue was I had to prepay on GolfNow for my round and pay for a cart but found out when I got to the course that there was a walking price.
Single Player
Was 30min away on business and was looking for a place to play on a day off. Usually hesitant to go by myself but ended up being paired up with 3 others and had a blast. The course layout is fun with some cool holes. 4.5 hours mid day on a weekend is more than reasonable nowadays so no complaints there. I paid $85 includes the cart which is $120 canadian money for myself some may think this is steep but I was ok with paying that on a weekend. Had a great day overall
Pine Crest C C
The course is good value for the money you pay.
I would like to see toilets facilities on the course (none present), and also more cold water dispensers
Tight
Lots of tree lined fairways so hitting straight off the tee is important. If your spray from the tee like I did, be prepared to use a lot of balls. Not easy to find those that get away from you. But course is in good shape with a good layout and fun to play. Oh and watch out for the geese!
Good value for money
The course is generally well kept, Tee boxes are well groomed. Some par fours are quite long.
The par 3s are challenging.
Overall, I enjoy playing this golf course.
Great golf course surrounded by attractive homes
First time playing this chorus visiting my son who lives nearby paired with two 20 somethings and the 50-year-old something I am 76 so I am distance challenged and need to use the forward tees. Greens well kept fairways well maintained tea boxes also well maintained definitely a challenge for me but I knew I was playing a premier course enjoyed it very much would play again
Course conditions
Not very impressed with this course. The grass on the tee boxes were long. The fairways, long. The rough was super long and also had a tone of clover which made it very difficult to find your ball. There were no first cuts in fairways. And all this to be said, didn’t see a single grounds crew guy all day. $70 for an unkept course is pretty steep and doesn’t make it feel worth it. It’s a $30 course to me.
Local dun
Played at 12pm not many people out there I was playing a little bit of a practice round with a friend of mine who teaches golf. The greens were slower than horses. I usually play in the grass was very heavy in the rough. It was challenging . It’s a narrow course
Great value.
This course is an excellent value. Great staff, great conditions.
Great course for the price
Holes are tight together so there’s a decent amount of cross hole playing (myself included) and the houses are very close on some holes making it tough as well but the course itself was in really good condition. Greens were soft and difficult but very well kept
