Won't be back
When I left there were 40 cars in parking lot. Many rounds there, over the years, with no improvements so great for those that are satisfied. Like Power Line I loved the layout & price but had to & have to say good by.
Nice Location, friendly staff
Great course to get in a quick 18 holes. Very straight forward layout.
Great if you know what you’re getting into
This course does a great job at knowing what it’s good at. Very very inexpensive, but cart paths are falling apart, and course isn’t in the best shape. Almost might as well be a par 3 course, no par fives and only a few par 4s. That being said, for the money, you can’t beat it. I played for less than a round of mini golf. Staff is also very kind
Didn’t know what it wanted to be
It had rough length fairways paired with greens that looked slower than hitting in sand but would fly past hole on a tap.
Needs work
Needs work: cart paths, weeds, tee boxes, fairways. Suggest Zoysia grass which uses much less water, chemicals & care as it spreads & repairs by itself.
The entire golf course is “the rough”
My brother and I had a 7am tee time and boy oh boy was it something. *disclaimer* it had rained the night before so keep this in mind. The fairways were very long and unkept, the greens were sopping wet and the bunkers were unkept. Surely the rain had something to do with this, but that was not the only issue. It was genuinely impossible on some holes to tell the difference between fairway and rough grass. It was all the same. And strangely enough, on some holes the grass much much better kept past the ladies tee, vs the long grass for the first 50-100 yards past the men’s tee. Sort of a miserable experience as far as that is concerned. Between the two of us, we probably lost 4-6 balls in the fairway or within 3 yards of the fairway. Just impossible to locate your shots even if you watched them land. The grass was too tall.
With all of this being said, the course layout was quite nice. The course itself was pretty and there were some fun holes that were challenging but interesting. There were a lot of shorter holes with nothing going past 350 yards (from what a remember) but if there were, it was no more than 1 or 2. Drivable for sure, but not the ideal place for someone to let loose. The cart path was mostly smooth and the carts themselves worked great. I also really enjoyed some of the creeks that were placed in the center of the course/near the tee off. They were nice to look at and fun to avoid. The staff was friendly and the parking was nice.
Overall: I would not recommend going to this course after a rainy day. I would even say not to go if it has rained 2 days prior. I think that a lot of my negative feelings about the course would be different if they had mowed the grass, made the boundaries clearer and touched up their bunkers. Fun for a beginner just trying to have fun, but not an ideal place to go if you are trying to gauge your skill level or if you are somewhere in between beginner and intermediate. You will be frustrated. I hope this review was helpful!
Sunday morning is busy…
Course of play was a little slower, long waits on the par 3s. But that’s what you get on a Sunday morning and cart path only because of the recent rain. Kudos to the ranger who was engaging groups, and giving swing tips and practice shots just to free up the room between groups. Kept a buffer on the back 9, and had some laughs with a good dude. Heck, he even gave me a great tip for a better driver swing.
