Iron Valley Golf Club

We booked a golf weekend out near Harrisburg. My buddy and I drove three hours to play iron Valley when we called Wednesday to make the tee time. No one at the clubhouse told us that there was a golf outing in the morning, and we could not use the driving range or the putting green prior to our round. Additionally, no one told us that the bar restaurant was not open either the concession stand was not open due to power issues is what we were told. We came in at 5:30 PM at the turn and there was nowhere to get a drink candy bar hotdog nothing the pro shop was closed we were told they had storms and power issues prior in the week so they didn’t have anything open no drink carts driving around no ranger.

The group in front of us had four carts it took 5 1/2 hours when we started right after the outing ended there shouldn’t have been anybody on the course

I had a seven am tee time. The night before, the course experienced a severe storm that produced high winds and torrential rain. Roads to the course were closed power lines were down on the streets. The pro shop had no power or running water. Despite of the epic storm, the course was open for play, cart path only. Out on the course, bunkers were flooded, in some areas there was standing water three feet high, mud, rock slides and fallen trees blocked some cart paths. Miraculously, the greens and fairways were in great playing shape. Kudos to the found crews. What a great track, it’s got to be one of the top courses in Pennsylvania

Quickly becoming my favorite course.! It’s always in great shape and the greens roll wonderfully.

The front nine is a links setup that appears more intimidating than it plays. The back nine has pronounced elevation changes and some very difficult landing zone planning on a few of the holes, It's a really cool layout, and I'll be back to play again soon.

The best course for money I have ever paid in the area for work so Have played twice bor and can’t eat for the third. Absolutely love it

Heard a lot about this place and it did not disappoint. First timers will want to know where to aim some of their blind shots, though. I hit more than one that I "thought was good" but ended up hit to "fairways that weren't there". Elapsed time for a Monday afternoon round was 4:50. It could probably have been under 4:30 but two members of the group in front of us appeared to have over-challenged themselves by playing the black tees.

Beautiful golf course. Great views, tricky holes and great elevation changes. Pace was a little bit slow but other than a few slow players the overall experience was amazing.
