Both the greens and fairways are in good condition
Unfriendly staff
We arrived for a 1:40 tee time & the pro shop worker was very rude since we “made our time online”. The course isn’t terrible but extremely overpriced for normal pay. We played back in March on one of the first days they were open and it was 48$ a piece for 18 riding. Absurd price for the time of year & the condition of the course at the time. They do not do winter rates at all which surprised me and the pro shop staff was very ignorant to us for no reason at all. Recommend avoiding this place, i won’t be playing there again unless there’s another hot deal for under 20$ because that’s all it is worth here.
Play course alot over past 10 years...Great challenge. Water, sand, target holes, long and short holes..
Great course to learn to play..Your Game will travel because of it. I love Ft. Cherry!
Good time
Nice course. 15 and 16 were cart path only which was really inconvenient. It didn’t rain for the past week and they’re on a hill so I’m not sure what is causing those to be cart path only. Carts are so annoying with the restrictions. Other than that it’s a nice course.
Open and forgiving
Fun track. Wide open so hard to get into trouble. Lots of elevation changes and interesting layouts. Greens were okay and rough demanding. Worth the cost but a bit far out

Really nice course
Was visiting Pittsburgh and had some occasional golfer friends meet for a round. This course was perfect! Everything is pretty visible from tee to green, no blind shots. Greens are big and accessible. Maintenance crew does an excellent job, and were very friendly while working around us. Proshop staff and starter seemed genuinely pleased to welcome us to the course. Pace of play after early tee time, even with cart path only, was quick, under 4 hours. If I played this course regularly I'd definitely walk it.
Not Worth the price
I’ve been playing Ft. Cherry for years now. It used to be $30 for a round of 18 plus cart. Now, it’s $52 and nothing about the course has changed. The back 9 is always a swamp even after several dry days and the greens are never great. If you’re going to charge $52 a round improve your course. Quicksilver golf club is right down the road, is cheaper, and way nicer.

Cart path only
The course was cart path only for some reason. There was no moisture in the fairways. It was completely dry. They made 4 some tee times 6 minutes apart. This made for a six hour round which was ridiculous. Beware.
Solid Golf Course
Really enjoyed this course. Conditions tee to green are solid. We played in 40mph gusts today which was fun but I would return to the course given the conditions. Nice tee boxes, fairways and greens. Greens rolled well despite recent aerification which should be completely healed in a couple weeks.
Couple things non course related that irked me. Due to the carts having GPS capabilities the course was cart path only and our carts shut off multiple times saying we were off the path which we weren’t. Staff had to come out and give us new carts. Snack shop displayed “open” at the turn on the sign and when our group walked up it was not. These were not make or break for me and I will plan on playing this course again.
In good shape
The course is in good shape, especially after 7inchs of snow just 5days ago.
