Fort Cherry Golf Club

The last time I played Fort Cherry was 2 years ago and the greens were impeccable with very good speed. The course must have suffered some sort of blight because every green had some area of dead grass. Some didn't affect play (depending on hole location and where your ball was), but others you had to decide whether to putt through this or move your ball. Not blaming the course, this happens despite the fact that Fort Cherry generally has very good maintenance, but disappointing nonetheless. The rest of the course was in good shape. Good bar/restaurant at the turn. The golf carts have GPS (+) and warn you if you are going too close to the green which I don't mind except the few times that I was not very close to any green and it beeped and shut down for a few seconds.

Course is in poor conditions. Greens have many unplayable spots. When we finished playing at 6:00 pm the bar and the rest rooms were closed.

We were scheduled right after an outing so we were able to take advantage of no one in front and nobody pushing us!

Course was in very good shape. Some of the greens were dried out on the edges but really didn’t affect play.

Overall a fun course to play and at a decent value.

Great bang for your buck

I believe hole 16 green was in rough shape, but that was it.

I feel that the course was in good condition for how dry it has been. They had a lot of sprinklers running throughout our round Sunday morning. We did have to play “dodge the sprinkler” a few times, but with the dry weather this was a welcomed sight.

Our tee time was 6:24 and we were done at 10:10am.

Overall I feel that our experience was great and would gladly go back.

Course was in terrible shape for the $70 price. Go to quicksilver a few minutes down the road. The greens were destroyed and borderline unplayable. Bunkers had wasp nests in them. Halfway house was serving uncooked hot dogs. Carts weren’t charged. The money that you pay for this is robbery.

Enjoyed our round at FC. Challenging but fair for women.

Too many blind tee shots. Had to drive up the fairway.before teeing off so as to not hit into the group ahead.

Took our foursome 5 hours to get through 18. We had to wait on every hole from 3-18. They need to space the tee times out more than 8 minutes. No hot dogs were available at the turn as “they had just sold the last one”. The snack shack was also closed. This was on a Saturday and the place was packed. If you’re going to charge premium money it’s gotta be a premium experience.

Greens were super fast. It’s a little tight at times but the conditions were fantastic! Certainly recommend it!

I’ve been playing this course for years for $62 and as much play you would think the greens and traps would be at least average or above. The greens are hard as a rock I really don’t think they’re ever watered and most of the traps are bare or the sand is so old it might as well be concrete also infested with ground bees

Course overall isn’t that great. For what you’re paying in comparison to other courses in the area it’s too much money. Plus you’re required to pre-pay if you schedule online. The tee boxes were average, holes are right on top of each other so hitting someone is very probable unless you’re very skilled, and the transition from fairway to rough is immediate and bad. I have no desire to play here again.
