Conditions need to be improved
On a decent layout... way too many weeds and crabgrass ruts etc, course needs a good dose of John Deere.
Course upgrades
they have definitely put to T L C into this course the past few years,, especially this year they have have paved cart paths just about every hole and the traps at full of sand they really did some nice work
Better than expected
Course in great condition, well maintained, bit short but fun to play. The only disadvantage (to me), you have drive or walk through houses to on several holes.., just too many houses all around the course.
Great course
Well maintained course, very friendly staff. Played immediately after COVID-19 reopening & all precautions were maintained. Walked the course. The course is laid out between many homes/neighborhoods & have to cross rural streets several times - made the walk much longer. However, would def play it again!
Good condition good Price
Per the price paid, and at the end of year, it was great to come out and play 18 holes in 3hr 10 min for two players
Great golf course
My wife and I played Shepherd Hills Golf Course today,1st time for her but I have played it many times. It was an absolutely beautiful day for golf and the course is in good shape. My wife said she likes it better than any other golf course that she has ever
played. It has wide fairways and not many places to get in trouble other than the sandtraps. The greens were in excellent shape and we didn't have any golfers breathing down our necks. All in all it was a relaxing day playing golf on a great course with a picture perfect type of weather.
Lots of fun.
I had the pleasure of playing from the forward tees. The greens were in excellent shape. Just an all around positive expierience. I will go back.
Could be better !
Great courses as far as degree of difficulty but, not to great of condition some of the fairways and greens. Price was ok ( we had to play early otherwise it was $12 more). Overall ok.
$22.50 was overpaying for this course.
The only thing green on the fairways were the weeds and the rough was just taller weeds. The course layout was probably designed by a 6th grader with zero imagination. Save your money and hit a bucket of balls unless you enjoy the band practicing, the constant sound of traffic or watching folks swimming in their blowup pools in their righty whiteys while you tee off.
Great weather, nice cource, greens lush
It was low 80s , low humidify, light breeze beautiful day
Teed off at 11:50 am approx on a Saturday.
first time at course, thought was nice for a public course and play was great, no one in front or behind us for 18 holes.Greens were lush and soft ball held greens well, a bit slow but for AUG thats a good thing for public course.
Fairways were ok a bit dry and hard in places.
once you get use to teeing off from the back yards of houses it was great. course is not overly tight and played a bit short but still fun and challenging for a 20 handicapper.
Well laid out for the property they have. , I would surly play it again.
Shepherd hills
Fairways took a hit from heat but greens are in great condition.
a terrible course with professional level greens
I played this course with a GroupGolfer certificate. Not what the photo indicated. For starters this is the second worst experience I've ever had as far as the presence of houses proximal to the course. While some courses seem like houses were built near the course, this seems like a development that decided to use the space between houses to make a golf course. Houses loom right next to almost EVERY hole. Unless you are Moe Norman straight, this course makes you afraid to take a full swing. The pro shop was unspectacular but the pro was very friendly and the people on the course were VERY gracious about letting me and the guy I partnered with play through. Pace of play was not an issue. The one thing you can't help but notice is that this muni level track has phenomenal greens! SUPER fast and very smooth.
