Lack of professionalism
Just finished 18 holes at Coventry Pines. I have golfed here a few times with no issues. I golfed today as a single and was about to hit a mulligan until another patron with no collared shirt and a gold chain hanging out barked at me and said I couldn’t hit another ball. Meanwhile the owner was chatting it up with the group ahead of me while I was waiting on the tee box. Owner approached me and said I couldn’t hit another ball. I mentioned that there were two very slow groups ahead and nothing was addressed. The course is not worth the slow pace and should have a ranger to move things along. I will take my business elsewhere.
Friendly place
This is a nine hole course that has some interesting holes. Very playable. The best thing about the course was the friendliness of the staff. Greens were very nice and putted true. Price was very reasonable. Good place for a fun quick nine if time is an issue.
Pretty Little Public Course
Course is on the short side, but that does not make it easy. Unlike long courses with wide open fairways, this course challenges you to place your shots. Course is in good condition, first tee was kind of lumpy, small greens are in nice shape overall, a little slow but are true and consistent. A couple of fairways have some rough spots. The course has several hills that result in some blind drives (5, 7 & 8). The 8th hole was a blind par 3 because of where the tee markers were. There is a target in a tree to tell you where the middle of the green is and I had to walk up the tee to see the pin. $23 for 9 holes and a cart is very reasonable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I'll be back.
