GolfNow Deal not as advertised
I used the GolfNow app to book 18 holes with a cart for 2 people at $44 each. We travelled over an hour to get to the course and upon arrival we were told by the staff that the GolfNow deal did not include cart. They made us pay an additional $46 to get a cart. The course was in terrible shape and the greens were very rough and had a lot of debris on them. I went back in the pro shop after our round and asked to be refunded for the cart fee because I felt they should honor the GolfNow deal as published. The owner said she would credit my card but I still have not seen the refund. It was a bad overall experience and I would probably not play the course again.
This course charges additional cart fees
I prepaid online to Golfnow for 18 holes and cart for 3 players. Arrive at course and was told that the course doesn't honor the cart fee with Golfnow and I would have to pay additional cart fee of 69 dollars. Wasn't happy with the course for making the customer take the burden of the problem. Hoping that this doesn't happen to anyone else, that this review will help to prevent it from happening
Golfnow you need to make sure it doesn't happen to someone else. St. Johnsbury CC
I have always enjoyed your course, but I will not be back.
St Johnsbury
We were greeted by one of the course partners and she was very pleasant. The course was in excellent shape. There were no areas that I would consider ground under repair. The greens were rolling nicely and the rough was challenging. The bar area is beautiful and there is an outside deck that gives you a nice view of the 9 th and 18 th greens.
Solid but Spendy
Finally got around to playing St J. Nice course, certainly would help knowing the course as there are many holes which are blind and/or target golf so knowing the distances and where NOT to hit it is key. Tee boxes were decent even for the women for my wife, greens were good. Club house girl was a touch on the cranky side for a course charging $70 per round with VT tax. Short staffed in the pub as well.
Enjoyable but challenging round
My wife and I enjoyed playing this course and would recommend it if you are in the area.
You get what you pay for, and more.
St. J only lists hot deals, so prices are incredible. Low enough to almost pay for my gas, at least.
Old style hill layout, lots of up and down hill, lots of blind shots. Nice overall design, variety. No two holes alike.
Cart paths mostly gravel, and quite rough. Some tee boxes a bit sketchy. Sand variable, but fairways quite nice and greens rolled true.
Leave your new pro v's home and have fun. You will use all your clubs and learn some valuable lessons about your golf skills.
Challenging round in beautiful setting.
This course is challenging due to some narrow fairways and tough to read greens. The layout is nicely done and takes advantage of the hills and natural beauty.
rough,rough, rough
I've always enjoyed playing this mountain track. I had'nt played here in 2 years and now the tee boxes are in ridiculous shape and the cart paths are appropriate for mountain goats. The rough is higher than I've remembered and with all the blind shots, lots of lost balls. Sayonara St. J
Classic mountain golf
A wonderful throw back to challenging mountain golf. Elevation changes force thinking your way around each hole. Staff courteous and helpful. A very pleasant surprise.
Good round
Tees were not in best of shape, test was fine. Severe elevation changes on many holes, enjoyed the down hill, up hills were a challenge. 3rd time I’ve played it but first for the wife.
Great value
Very challenging layout with many blind shots and elevation changes. Nice track that plays longer than card states- course knowledge beneficial to stay away from trouble.

Good Course
This course is a gem in northeast Vermont. The routing is exciting with good conditioning and a good 19th. I would go out of my way to play this course again.
Its a shame
It is really a great golf course but every time I plat there there is something going on to creat havoc. Today 5 foursome dressed like clowns provided us with a 5 1/2 hour round. his course can comfortably be played by a foursome in 4 hours. Absolutely painful and the management not only did not care, did not send a ranger (after many complaints from the course) but scheduled these guys for 10:00 on Saturday morning. Great course, no brains!
Great course, inexcellent shape.
Very nice course. Good value. Challenging doglegs, but not unfair. Enjoyed it very much and will play again, for sure.
