About
The Legends of Massillon offers 27 holes of championship golf. The holes are divided into three nines: East, North, and South; which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Originally opened in 1995 as an 18-hole golf course, another nine was added with each of the three nines featuring six of the original holes and three new ones. The East/North combination has large greens and plenty of water. Water is a prominent feature on every nine, it comes into play on 22 out of the 27 holes and you'll also have more than 80 strategically placed bunkers throughout to contend with. There are four sets of tees on every nine, making it accessible for a wide range of skill levels. The Legends consistently ranks as one of the top public golf courses in Ohio.

Best course for the money
Tee boxes and greens were really nice. Great layout and really hard pin placements in some holes. Course is the nicest course you can play for the money. Staff was excellent and couldn’t of been treated better. Plastic shields in between riders was not ideal but it is with the times. Pace was slow had some old timers in front of us but they paid too and will not take away a star because of it. Worst part was Congrove hit that huge building on hole 3 and almost killed me lol. Will come back to play the north.
Legends Has to Improve Pace of play
Played there on 8/8/20, was extremely slow and too many golfers trying to play from tees beyond their skill levels. Prime time Sat 9am - 12pm is not a time to learn to play golf and the rangers have to recognize this and politely ask people to come back another time and give the ma full refund. We play legends at least once a month but after Sat, we canceled an existing tee and moved to another course because we have visitor coming in from Southern Pines and did not want to run into the same problem

6 HOUR ROUND OON A SATURDAY
Course was decent condition,greens not that fast.BIGGEST problem is pace of play we quit after 16 holes and 5 hours and 10 minutes of waiting.
Ranger drives around and smiles at everyone but says nothing to the slow poke players.They shove too many players out every hour.Stay away on the weekends!
Yes, I was there that day as well, it was God awful and nothing done about despite several efforts to get a Ranger out to speed things up
Legends can do a better job, rangers need to do their job or they will be off my crews rotation on courses. Have played many rounds there and this by far the worst

Like the course but the staff sucks
I just want to go play Golf and not hear anyone's political Views ,Hear how they Don't like People of Color Or Any such Nonsense..... Keep that Crap at Home..
I paid too much money to come into a Fox News,CNN,MSNBC, Club house.

Good fairways and even better value
I played North & East and the fairways were cut well and had very fair green play. Challenging course for a high handicapper (like myself) but enough chances at Par to not ruin your round! Lots of hot deals available, too, for a great value.

Very sunny open course
Staff weren't the most friendly or accommodating. Clubhouse didn't have scorecards nor were they on the carts or at the first tees. Actually had to go back and ask the starter after we were OK'd to start. All carts have a clear plastic divider due to COVID, whether you're in the same household or not. These dividers are a big inconvenience - sit on them when getting in the cart, difficult to see and communicate through and around, restricts players' use to one half of the dash (can't reach through), absolutely no air flow which is ridiculous on a hot summer day. Rate of play on the South was super slow. Rate of play on the East was much better. Nice course, well maintained with a variety of challenge. Very little mature trees lining course, no shade. Along with the restrictive carts, no relief from the heat. Would only play here again this season if it were a really good price.

Good course
Nice layout. Good pace of play. Staff was excellent. Only comment- cut some walking paths through the heather between the greens and the next tee for us walkers. Cart part between holes can be circuitous

Great Course
I always enjoy Legends. We played the East and South courses. It was in very good shape. The greens were a little beat up with unfixed divots but they rolled pretty well. Overall, Legends is a great course

First time of many
First time ever seeing the course, played South/North and was blown away. Challenging layouts but if you play the correct shots then you can be rewarded. Need to get back ASAP to play the East course. Honestly one of the best public courses in the area. Also very helpful signs for directions of which hole to go to next so was never really confused as to where to go next.
