About
The Legends of Massillon offers 27 holes of championship golf. The holes are divided into three nines: East, North, and South; which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Originally opened in 1995 as an 18-hole golf course, another nine was added with each of the three nines featuring six of the original holes and three new ones. The East/North combination has large greens and plenty of water. Water is a prominent feature on every nine, it comes into play on 22 out of the 27 holes and you'll also have more than 80 strategically placed bunkers throughout to contend with. There are four sets of tees on every nine, making it accessible for a wide range of skill levels. The Legends consistently ranks as one of the top public golf courses in Ohio.

City Owned Course
The course is good, it's an original feeling track with a lot to think about. Plenty of sand and water, tall grass, elevation change, and some longer holes. The drawbacks are the driving range, which is in terrible condition most times, and the staff. I've never had a comfortable experience with the guys working there, and I've been going there for 15 years now. They are slow, miserable, and nonverbal most of the time. Do they get you checked out? Yes. Do they make you feel like you're bothering them the entire time? Also yes. That's what city employees feel like though.
Great all around.
Excellent experience. Busy and efficient and organized. 18 on a Sunday mid day in 4:30. Very helpful and friendly staff. Played North and South 9s. Receptive greens, challenging but fair. Well run operations will always get my time and money. Happy to recommend and return. Nice job Legends!
Beep Beep Beep
The entire time on the course all you will hear is that Loud Contruction Lift BEEPING BEEPING - Why on earth would they have a LOUD BEEPING BEEPING Contruction lift that only runs in Reverse - BEEPING BEEPING - NOTHING is more annoying - I drove an hour out to Massillon to hear BEEPING, BEEPING - couldn't be more unhappy for sixty bucks

Challenging Course
First time playing here. Course was in excellent condition, fairways and greens are well taken care of. Water on the majority of the holes, made for a challenging day~ I shot my personal best 9 holes today! Would recommend to anyone looking for a challenge
Nice course all around
I haven’t played here in a while but it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The course is challenging for me at times but still fun if you place your shots well.
The Legions!
My 2 sons and i played the east and south course! We have played it probably 9 or 10 times. The course was in great shape! We played 18 holes and were 64 mins ahead of pace! Its a bit of a drive but we will be playing it again! The lady in the pro shop was very nice and friendly!
