First nine holes after retirement in Virginia.

4 stars for a nice Northern Virginia executive-type of golf course.
I usually play Jefferson District about once a month when I grab a tee time after work. Aside from East Potomac (which is often packed and unplayable if there is rain), Jefferson is one of the only 9 hole courses someone can play on a weekday evening before dark.
What I like about this course:
-Nice mixture of Par 4s and 3s and a short par 5.
-Fairways are usually in pretty good condition.
-Pace isn't too bad considering the traffic.
What I don't like:
-Hard to get tee times
-Greens aren't always in great shape
-Power lines on 3 and mowing on holes near back of course not great.

Great walking course
The day turned out nice with less humidity, so playing on the walking course like Jefferson turned out to be a pleasant experience. Being a smaller size Course, the layout was challenging enough but I do hope the tees get TLC.

Great conditions at Jefferson GC
The course is in great condition. Excellent tee boxes and greens roll well. Great place to sharpen your iron play.
