Nice out of the way course
As far as golf goes near the ocean in Washington State, this is about as good as it gets. There aren't a lot of choices in this area but this is a nice one. The course manager was great, very accommodating. The course is pretty average and not real challenging but was looking for a nice tune-up course after not playing for sometime and this fit the bill perfectly. If you're in the area and looking for a nice place to play a round with some friends, check it out.
Overall Good Course
Oaksridge Golf Course in Elma, WA is a pretty decent course to play on. I'm sure a more advanced golfer than me would find it pretty easy I found it relatively challenging. I played solo and was able to walk it in under 4 hours at about 31/2 hours. I always have fun playing at Oaksridge. The staff was pretty friendly and courteous. Overall a great time on the course.
oaksridge 5/19/17
The course (fairways) had not been mowed in several days. The course for the most part was dry but with the long grass it was tough finding balls. If it had been mowed it would have been a great day.
Dry and weathered
The course was showing the effects of the drought. Several greens were in poor shape with dry cracked surfaces. One green looked like someone took a divot on it. Track itself is fun but could use some care and water.
Very flat, friendly course
Course is in good shape right now. Fun, flat course to play. Very friendly owner and staff. Good value. No Out of Bounds, only hazards.
golfing in late Oct.
I found a day without rain in Late Oct. and under the circumstances the course was in pretty good shape.
Most underrated course in Washington
Friendly staff and an awesome old school course. Absolutely loved it would recomend to anyone. Best golf for your money!
Friendly course, not crowded
We have played Oaksridge about twice per year over the last five years. Course keeps improving. They are catching up with a cold, wet spring and the long grass around the sand bunkers needs trimming, but the rest of the course is in good shape. This is a decent course for beginners, not crowded during the week and reasonably priced.
A good beginner course
I played 36 holes on Tightwad Tuesday when they let you play all you can or want for $16 so it was a great value in terms of price to amount of golf played. Oaksridge is a very flat and easy course to walk measuring less than 5800 yards from the tips with ample opportunities to score well. Some intermediate and advanced golfers may find the course too easy with the longest par 4 being 373 yards from the tips. The course lies on the low land below the highway which may cause it to become quite wet during periods of sustained rain. If you have a young golfer beginning to learn the game, Oaksridge may be worth the trip before taking on a more challenging track.
lota of potential here. greens need help.
Great staff. Very friendly. If course better maintained would play more. Signs of encouragement yesterday seeing work being done. Too many Greens have problems. Good to have course here wish I could support it more but maintenance missing.
Nice golf course.
It was a great day to play when I visited Oaksridge GC. There was a green under construction other than that the course was in decent shape. Would play again if I'm in neighborhood.
Cheap
You cant beat playing 18 holes here for only $10.50.
!!!!!!
It is in good shape but they need to water the greens less, the should be rolling faster.
Both timesd this weekend the greens were SOGG and very wet!
NOT what you want during peak season!
