Fountainhead Creek Golf Club

This course has some challenging holes, the Par 5 No. 11 being the toughest hole to par. They are having some issues with wild hogs rooting up the fairways in places and some of the greens are showing signs of needed attention. A challenging course to test your skills.

Fountainhead has been a favorite getaway golf round for me since the '80s. It isn't a long course, it is very challenging for an old duffer. The views are great as well as the greens. The fairways are more narrow than you would like and if you miss them there are rocks to deal with. I always enjoy playing here even though I don't always have a great score.

Tree lined fairways required accuracy on the drives. The sand traps where not maintained but the large double tiered greens made it necessary to get an up hill putt. Overall the course was enjoyable to play and well worth the golf now price!

Jumped on Golfnow and saw a hot deal for Fountainhead and decided to book it. My son and I arrived and were told we could tee off when we were ready. We had a good time. The greens have some crabgrass, but had been sprayed recently.

Played here several times. Fairway conditions vary with the season, but the greens are usually very good. Some unexpected breaks make the greens challenging. The bunkers usually need a good raking. Overall conditions at the eastern Oklahoma State Park courses (except Western Hills) were excellent in 2015 probably due to all the rain. It remains to be seen how they will fare in 2016. Moderately scenic with several views of Lake Eufaula.

Greens needed some attention, pretty nice course other than that. Staff was very friendly.

I've played this course many times and almost 2 years ago if say this course was over ally excellent. Perfect greens, flush green fairways, and beautiful landscaping. Since then I've noticed the course starting to decline. The greens were very soft and the ball would stick but they were in poor shape. Weeds growing in a lot of them and very bumpy due to what looks like the greens "died" at some point. There's a lot of newly laid sod on a lot of greens so they're trying but it was frustrating trying to putt. The fairways were hard as a rock. This is Oklahoma and heat is a tough battle but I've never seen them like this. The layout is very unique and challenging. Love this aspect. Overall the course is average only due to the condition. For the $35 I don't think it's worth it. Worth a solid $20-25 maybe.

The staff is rude and usually seen like they are mad that you are there to play, esp when going to the driving range, the guy Stan most times has some excuse as to why you can't use it. Mo recommend playing this course but spend as little time in the clubhouse as possible !

This course is a great little gem (in that area) to play especially for the price. There are no clubs (private or muni) that for the money I would play in S.E. Oklahoma. It is a shame that the management will not put more money in the operations of the course to draw higher level players, tournament play. Great tract...

Course was underwater and greens had standing water on them. Fairways are not mowed and some are brown with no grass on them.

I believe their green fees are high. Food at snack bar was expensive, some staff members act like they hate their job. But overall the course is a challenge and I do realize all the rain Oklahoma had in may did hinder landscaping, but when we played on June 12 some fairways could have bailed hay with the cut grass on fairway. If you play, play when it has been dry awhile. I had family that had come out from California last October, four of us went and played this course. They had just aerated the greens day before and we got charged full price of $42-$44 per person. Since that day this course has been on my negative list. So you're probably asking "why play it then" ? Well it's only course on Golf Now app close to me, so I figure...cheap enough on app why not. My course of choice in this area is Arrowhead, they are re doing their greens.

The price was good. However, the course Marshalls were interrupting play and enforcing stupid rules. We parked our cart with one tire off of the cart path and was asked to not do that again. We graciuosly followed the instruction but thought it was a little over the top.

Greens had been sanded so putting was a challenge. Need some grass on a couple of fairways had to find grass.

This course was very wet when we played, but the greens were very large and solid. The rolling hills and the oak trees were a challenge. The course was in nice condition. Will play it again.
