Village Greens Golf Course

About
Village Green Golf Course is an executive, 18-hole course located just 40 minutes north of Tacoma, off of Mill Hill Road in Port Orchard. It's known for being one of the best golf values in the area. The course has a classic design that plays tight but isn't overly punishing for the high handicapper. The small, elevated greens and narrow fairways demand accuracy. The course is ideal for beginners, offering a place to get practice with a variety of different shots. For intermediate players and low handicappers, the course is an excellent place for honing your iron play and working on your short game. There is also a practice facility available at Village Green that includes a covered driving range and putting and chipping greens.

Been a while
Inexpensive and easy to play. Only pulled driver once. Lots of par 3’s.
Great value and great place to practice on your game
Only the tee boxes and greens get watered. Fairways are hard, which is great if you hit a lot of work burners. Very easy to walk this short course
Challenging executive course
This is a fun, challenging course with small elevated greens. Some of the par threes are over 200 yds. Golf Now works great for the for the two discounted rounds they provide each day but not for the other tee times because Village Greens only has paper copies of the available tee times, not computerized. Sue at the pro shop yesterday told me that Golf Now people that book a tee time come in and are surprised to find the tee time is already taken.
Fun course
Village Greens is a fun course for beginners and or intermediate golfers. If you need to work on your short game or Irons, this is the course to play.
Would not recommend
The employees were very nice and welcoming. The course itself might be the worst kept course I’ve played. Everywhere outside of a 20m bubble surrounding the greens is equivalent to hitting off of asphalt. Tee boxes were all chewed up, making you hit out of sand/dirt every hole. If you’re not able to walk, they only have a total of 6 carts for all guest. The layout of the course can get you lost from some holes, for example finishing up 5 you have to walk through the back 9 to get to 6. You usually get what you pay for but I’ve seen better maintained puttputt facilities. If reading this, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and play a course that’s enjoyable and maintained. Would not recommend.
This course is no longer on Golf Now. Do not book, call them directly.

If not for the staff…
I am not completely convinced I would play here again. The greens were not in the best of shape. The tee boxes were ok. But the guy at the front desk that day I would imagine needed a hug or something. He does not like GN for reservations and talked poorly about it. He was kind of a jerk and had me leaving cussing under my breath!
no grass during the summer
i wish they had grass on the fairways.its like the parking lot.
enjoyable
We come to this course as often as we can. Prices are affordable, close to home…finish in 2hrs or less.:)
great place
We love to go here because it is close to home..not expensive and we are in and out in about 2 hrs!! we dont get out to play as much as we would like these days, so it is nice to have something like this close by.:)
Great for beginners
We are trying to learn how to play golf. Great course for this. 3-4 par holes. Not super busy in the later hours.
Pleasantly surprised
First time playing here and we had a great time. There were a few dry spots on the fairways and the greens were a little bumpy. Overall the course is in pretty good shape. The layout was challenging with some tight fairways and raised greens. We plan to go back.
Perfect short course.
We had a lot of fun playing this course. Golf Now map directions were not accurate. Make sure you use something else like Google Maps. The course staff were very nice and still let us play even though we were late due to the directions. The fairways were okay since it was a par 3/4 course. Lots of trees. Greens were challenging with a small surface on many and sloped. We will definitely go again.
Enjoyable
Great course for a relaxing day in the sun. No hurries, just good ol’ golf🥰
love this course
Close to home, good prices and the course has truly been cleaned up since playing last year…nice walking course...
Course Condition
In over 20 years of occasionally playing this course, I don't think the small, postage stamp sized greens have ever been in better shape. Excellent work from the staff.
