Golfer Reviews
Foster Golf Links
Course was in excellent condition, fairways were mowed and greens smooth and fast. The only issue is with the bunkers, they were dry this week, but the sand is usually packed down and makes bunkers shot extremely difficult. Would like to see more maintenance on the bunkers with loose sand that you can actually swing your club through. Most shots result in very little sand or skulled shots that fly 20 yards over the green.
Sunday golf with my son
The course was well maintained and really enjoyable the play. The fairways are open and the greens are a little fast, but I felt the course was an excellent shape. I will definitely play the course again. I enjoyed it.
Foster's golf links
Heavy rains the night before saturated the course. Many bunkers had standing water. Overall the course was in good condition and still had a very fun round despite high winds. A few trees cracked and on hole 15 a large branch broke off and fell. A reminder to stay alert when playing in high windy conditions.
Great Public Course
Great par-68 course with fast fairways. I was impressed with how dry it was considering it rained heavily 36 hours prior to our tee time. Pace of play is terrible though and there was no marshall to enforce it. Seemed like there are regular golfers who come multiple times a week and just get drunk and play terribly. The restaurant has decent food but again saw the same drunk guys who held up the course and they were bothering other tables as well. Somehow this needs to be better enforced as these guys hurt the vibe to an otherwise great course.
Great conditions!
Been playing here numerous times over the past 6 years or so and the conditions right now are the best they have ever been. Fairways are all nicely grassy and greens are very nice too. Great place to play for a straight forward round at a decent price.
Foster Golf Links
Even though the course was wet and there was a light drizzle the course was in good condition overall. Had a good round and fun day.
Every Tuesday
Course looks good. We started off at 11:15 and pace of play had finished up 4 hours later. We will definitely return to play the course again this season.
Foster Golf Links
Course has maintained good condition. Fun day of golf. Few areas that could use improvement are the bunkers; the sand gets compacted and leads flushing the shot and the ball ends up flying 10 to 20 yards over the greens. The ball washer could use some updating a few are very warn and some were dry. several holes do not have ball washers at all.
Foster Golf Links
The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The one complaint I have is that some of the ball washers had dried up and some holes were missing ball washers altogether. Especially the one on hole 15 that has been dried up on multiple occasions.
Foster Golf Links
The course was in excellent condition. The fairways were mowed and had good roll out. The greens were fast and smooth. A good day for golf.
Foster Golf Links
The course was in very good condition. Weather was low 50s, so a bit cold but not too bad. Pace of play was very good until the last 3 holes...it backed up then.
Course in nice shape
Had not been here since last year, as it does not play well when it is too wet or too dry. The course conditions were actually quite good, with the patchy muddy/dirt areas on many of the fairways now gone. Greens in pretty nice shape as well. There were numerous areas of standing water, due to heavy rains the day before. Pace could have been better, as the foursome ahead of the twosome ahead of us fell way behind and there was no marshal to speed them up. Should not take 4+ hours to play, especially on a weekday.
After the rainy weather it is looking good
I like the people I meet at the tee box. I mainly check in as a solo player. It never fails that I get put together with enthusiastic players. For just coming out of the winter months that last 7 months in the Pacific Northwest. The course is in relativly in good shape. It is 85% good, you get the water in the middle of the fairway occasionally. The check into the pro shop is always professional. The restaurant is first class, and the greens are rolling almost perfect. The value you receive as a golfer is high.
Back nine is a downer
It got really backed up at 11 on a Tuesday early afternoon. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to get somebody involved there to make sure groups were getting waved up properly. The groups there have very little clue of golf etiquette. Other than that it was pretty good.
Fast Round at Foster Links
Played a quick 18 at Foster Golf Links. Overall course conditions were good -- a few standing poodles and muddy areas on the course. Cart parth only for the round. Don''t like hitting off mats on the Par 3s. Looked like the onsite restaurant (formerly Billy Baroo's) was closed for renovations and may re-open under a new name. Rained while I played the back nine but the course held up nicely while I finished my round.
