Tight fairways, but very playable without any bad ground.
Fairways and greens were in great condition. Short course but tight with unforgiving trees. They do not allow the passage of golf balls. A feature that I liked is no houses along the fairways.
very forgiving, short and straight.
great for beginners and for those who want to practice short approaches. after retirement i have started playing on a regular bases and foster is a great place to kickstart a game I once loved. i'm in my mid 60's and don't hit it as long as i use to - love the course. lots of ladies come here, perhaps for similar reasons.

Course was in great shape!
The course was in great shape, the greens were fantastic. The pace of play was a little slow, but that was due to some beginners two groups in front of us. Overall, great experience.
Great short course.
Love this course. Well maintained and great for preparing for a round at a standard length course.
Great municipal course
We got a good deal on this and went without much expectations, just to be happily surprised. Nice club house with a well stocked pro shop, well maintained course and everything looking ship-shape.
The course itself is easy- on the first nine holes, short fairways pretty much go up and down with trees in between and the Duwamish River snaking alongside. For a public course on a Saturday the speed was good, many people left after the first nine.
It was a nice, relaxing and fun outing and we will definitely be back.
Ego boosting course
Drive-able par 4s for the long hitters. Not nearly as much goose droppings as in the past. Would be nice it the beverage car came around entire course beside intersection of holes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9 near club house. Also, if you are using the Golf Buddy Platinum, the front and back nine are flipped. Golf Buddy out of the box was not updated with course change.
This course is well maintained with more than adequeate facilities.
I have never played at Fosters before and my friends were telling me that it is a great course to play. After playing there, I will agree to that statement. The staff were friendly, no one was rushing you to play, the course was well maintained, and it has flavor of challenging holes that will get you and friends over a friendly competition. In addition to that, I got my tee time from Golf Now and the price was great. Overall, I had a great time playing at Fosters.
Good training course for beginner.
Short easy course, but can't bump and run all the way. Uneven lies, Bunkers, water hazards. Easy to find a lost ball on the other fairway. Some bunkers don't need a sand wedge to get out but a putter. Try to slow down myself by using iron as some tee shots.Hole 17, par 3 over a pond, 220 yards for green seems unreachable without a driver. But if the shot get over 180 yards, there is a downhill bump right behind the pond, and help the ball running to the green. I don't carry a driver but a 5 wood (average 180 yards) for the day and still shoot a very good score.
Staff was friendly and courteous.
Friendly professional staff. Nice course. Had s great time
Great day on the links
We had a great day, the weather was great, check-in was quick and the staff very helpful. We booked a Hot Deal so everything was paid for when we got there. The course wasn't over crowded for a Friday afternoon. We were joined by a single and really enjoyed our round of golf. The course was fairly soft in some areas that seemed to have been over watered, but in all, it was in very good condition. We'll be looking for more Hot Deals at Foster Golf Links.
Good course for beginners.
It's an okay course. A bit dangerous as people don't have much etiquette. I actually got hit on my own fairway and almost again leaving a green. It is in pretty good shape for the hackers that play there. No divots replaced much or ball marks fixed. Not that cheap either.
worst round ever
The course was over packed and we waited for 4 groups to hit on some tees! No Marshall, no cart person delivering refreshments. Absolutely terrible. Not sure I will ever go back.
fun little track
clean and tidy course easy walk. greens can be challenging with undulations.
Play was slow, but course was so short I was done in 3 hours.
Chipped and putted between each hole and still played in 3 hours.
Great course
This course is good for all levels. Especially for the beginner who wants to be challenged but not discouraged. It designed to not bore the more advanced. Reasonably priced, especially at the reduced rate.
Serendipitous experience
Leave your driver at home. Course is fairly short and tee off with wood is sufficient for all par 4s. Fun hitting over the Duwamish river for short par 3s and one long par 3 over pond at hole 17 was worth to pay attention to. Greens are well maintained and challenging enough.
One of my favorites!
I really like this course, it's fairly forgiving, and well maintained. It feels like you are playing in a park here, no houses around, just mature trees and the river, a few sand traps and a pond affecting two holes. They keep the "rough" grass at a reasonable length so even if you hit into the trees it's playable for the most part. There are two par 3's of about 125 yds where you have to shoot over the river to the green on the other side. I'm not a long hitter and this course fits my game very well. It's shorter than many courses with a par of 68 and only 2 sets of tees. It's easy to walk and not too hilly. The clubhouse is very nice with an upscale bar and restaurant with a good size patio for outdoor dining, and plenty of parking.
Great course for irons!
After 2 rounds, this is my favorite short course! Greens are smooth and better than most of the big courses. Very green fairways with only a few hard spots. Pace is great and relaxing. Practice areas are better than any around-no crowded putting greens here almost as good as Gold Mountain. Sure, a great course for beginners/intermediate players but can be challenging with just irons for long hitters too! Great place to tune up your irons and short game. Huge clubhouse and reasonable food prices. A truly hidden gem! I can't find anything bad to say except for the geese droppings on a few holes. If you want birdies and gain confidence, play this course!
Good Beginner Course in Great Condition
This short track near the airport was a great pick for me on my last day in Seattle before flying back home. The course looked lush green and in great condition. Most holes on the front 9 were short straight holes with relatively flat greens so it was easy to score. The back 9 was a lot more interesting with a few short dog legs and three par 3 holes.
Since this is a very easy course (only 101 slope), be prepared to see lots of beginner players that may slow down play.
On another note, not sure how often this happens or if the club can do anything about it, but there were a few holes that reeked of rotten garbage because of something next to the club.
Overall this represents a great value for beginners but advanced players may want to play elsewhere more challenging.
Fun casual course
I really enjoy this course. It has a relaxed casual atmosphere and a great restaurant for the 19th hole. Pace of play can be a little slow because it is a good course for a less experience golfer.
