Best Yet
I've played Fosters many times and found the course to be in the best condition I've ever seen it in. It was well manicured and clean. The greens were especially nice. I like the reversed-layout too. #1 is now where #10 was and vice versa. It's a more intelligent path.
Great simple course
Great course with good access to all Seattle metro areas. Can easily play in under 4 hours.
The burgers and brew deal is great in the clubhouse on Thursdays.
Easy course for a novice.
First 3 tee boxes were being reseeded the day I played, just made for shorter holes. Course was in great shape overall.
nice scenic short course
Very scenic, well-maintained fairways and greens. Lots of bunkers and water. Very short - lots of repetitive short (290-320) parallel par 4 holes on the front nine.
good layout
Course, especially the greens was in great condition. It is a short course but definitely challenging. Play was slower than desirable.
Excellant day. Course in fine shape. Great greens.
Although a fairly easy course, Foster's remains a favorite. It does have a few challenges and wrinkles and is a great place to iron out your games. Some of the best greens of the local public courses.
Easy to walk and great staff.
Fun course to play on. Would recommend to friends for casual play.
Low price track in good weather
Foster is a short, value track that is pleasant to walk with buddies and shoot low scores. I play it more in the early season when the marine layer and soggy fairways are less a nuisance on a short track that drains pretty well being on the river. I prefer to "graduate" to more moderate tracks that dry out towards summer time. But when I do, I miss teh post-round pint/lunch at Billy Baroos.
Off the tee is challenging on most holes
Ur 3 wood works well on this course, if ur driver is a bit weak,
Well maintain, green a little spoogy.
Nice beginner/ intermediate course.
Executive style course (only one short par 5.) Although it has tree lined, relatively narrow fairways, errant balls remain playable on adjacent fairways. Well maintained. Greens are a bit slow, and a few were a bit bumpy. Busy day due to a tournament, but play moved at a reasonable pace.
Great golf Sunday!
This course has a great restaurant with great service. Good for beginners and intermediate golfers. Nicely maintained.
Plesant track that anyone can walk!
I like this course because it is walkable, kept well, located well for South King County residents, available online (golfnow..com). It can be slow on weekends but my Saturday 9am round took 4-1/2 hours.
its ok
I think its a little overpriced for the course. I would only go here if i got golfnow prices with the cart. just nothing special to pay that much to play here.
Not the right time of year
This course was pretty muddy and swampy all the way through. I understand that the time of year isnt ideal for golf in this area, but there are many other courses who keep their drainage up to par. Unfortunately, i lost about 4 balls in the mud directly in the middle of the fairway. If the weather has been dry for some time i think this courder has some great potential.
Great value
considering how much rain we had the day before, the course was in great shape. It would be nice if they had an outdoor window where you can go to order a snack or drink at the turn, rather than go inside to the big bar and wait to be served.
great for the high handicapper
Fairways are soft but this course is a great value when combined with Golf Now discounts. And, after a round of golf, you can't beat the food and service at Billy Baroos.
Slightly disappointed
This was my 4th round here, but first in the off-season. I was mostly disappointed with the conditions, but have conversely been pleased with the course in the summer. This day the course was soggy and the greens were slow and spongy. It was also slow going at times.
Simple and Easy
Not so great in the wet, but i had a lot of fun at this course. Short and very simple!
Great short practice course
I have been playing this course for many years. It's a great course to score great on due to it's length. Many driveable par 4s. Only 2 par 5s total one on the front one on the back. It's rather scenic for a small city owned muni. The green river wraps around the entire course. Greens are rather small but run true and are always maintained. Two par 3s to carry over the river and
1 par 3 over a 175 yard carry pond. One of the best reasturaunts that rival any higher end golf course. One of the best happy hours in the state.
Excellent course - fun experience
Course well kept & friendly staff.
Flat course for easy walk is a bonus...
