The Golf Course at Branch River

Why is this course still on this website and still taking money? I booked on 7/25/26, and I showed up at the course only to find it closed down with no ttesspassing posted on a gate blocking the entrance.

do not buy this course is close and out of business currently if you buy it will be a hassle to get a refund from golf now I recommended they take this course off their website, but they have not complied

Drove 35 miles to a golf course that is out of business.

The course is closed. I would like my golf now fee back.

I really enjoyed being on the course. Very pretty and serene. But, the greens were so bad the ball looked like it was going through horizontal plinko game. I can overlook the hard tee boxes but at nice as the course is, the greens are too far gone to enjoy the game.

I'm 71 years old and may be a duffer, but I have played a lot of golf in my lifetime. I went here because it was part of a golf card I purchased early this year. To say conditions were bad is an understatement. The greens are junk, bare spots all over every green. Trying to putt is next to impossible. the ball bounces all over. Whomever is cutting the greens is damaging them even more. It's apparent that they are not using pesticides and herbicides on the course. The bugs were terrible and you can't tell the fairway from the rough. There are thistles and crabgrass throughout the course. Can't tell you how many times I hit the fairway to end up with my ball sitting on a weed or crabgrass. And the sand traps? They are weed bunkers. Weeds cover what is supposed to be sand. Weeds 3 feet tall all over a trap? Such a simple thing to maintain and they are obviously ignoring them. Will never go back, that's for sure. If you like a well taken care of golf course this is not for you. I wish I had taken some photo's. So sad.

If they have a grounds crew that would be very surprising

It has awesome potential good length, nice hole layouts, beautiful surroundings

However no effort or money has been put into making it an even average course

My wife and I played this course before but the conditions were not this bad. The course has great potential. Plenty of length and many mature trees. In this condition I would not recommend this course to anyone who loves golf. The greens are a mess of dead patches. Most of the sand traps are full of grass and weeds. The grass is poorly mowed if mowed at all. Lost a ball in the middle of a fareway, possibly under grass clippings. This was the 4th course we played in 4 days and the worst by far.

This course has such potential but needs a lot of TLC. It needs mowing, weed killing and the bugs were very annoying.

Beautiful course. Nice layout. Greens are a work in progress, but getting better. Only other complaint is the gnats can get pretty bad.

Some of the worst greens I’ve ever seen. They are like putting out of bunker. Bunkers are like WW2 D-Day. Hard as a rock and truck tire marks all over

The worst kept course I’ve ever played. I wouldn’t spend $10 to play it.

Pretty rough fairways grass could of been cut greens were very spotty
