About
Golden Sands Golf Course is a local favorite of the Cecil area. It is not only a great for a quick, challenging round, it is also a popular venue for tournaments and events. The playability combined with the golf course's affordability has helped Golden Sands build its good reputation. The par-71 layout measures to 6,100 yards from the back tees. It may seem short to those used to playing championship courses that can stretch to more than 7,000 yards, but the manageable length is complemented by unique hole designs and a challenging terrain. Mature trees dot the rolling landscape, coming into play along the fairways. Golfers will also have to face a few uneven lies and some subtle but tricky contours on the greens. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes at Golden Sands Golf Course.

Golden Sands
I was in town for Packer family night and found this place to golf. Overall the facility was in great condition. I wouldn't say the course was too challenging to the experienced golfer but was perfect for my high handicap game. The only negative was I played behind a group of 5 members which slowed the pace quite a bit but I was solo so that's probably what made it worse. Great value for the money. I personally prefer a longer, wide open course so be careful because of the trees.
We are so sorry that the pace of play today was not to our usual standards.
G Sands
This has been a family favorite for many years... Not a difficult course, but a fun one every time out. This year, there have clearly been some maintenance issues due to the very wet spring. There are quite a few dead areas on several fairways, and smaller ones on 2 or 3 greens... Aside from that, the greens rolled very smooth (although a bit slow), and the discounted price was a great value. There's not a lot of choice for golf in this area, and Golden Sands is probably the busiest course in the area for a reason... We'll still be playing it years from now I'm sure!

Fairly flat layout, but, good routing with the available property.
Course was in very good shape. Had to use nearly every club in the bag. A number of the holes need to be played several times to know where to hit your tee shot. Course was well marked, any layup/ go for it holes had the appropriate yardages.
First time at course had easy to follow hole feature signs
Enjoyed variable hole difficulties as somewhat challenging. Green speeds varied but had recently rained. Very nice course and very good price.
