Culbertson Hills Golf Resort

We bought the golf pass allowing play on 20 courses in the area.

This is the forth time using the pass this year. I call last week to set tee time and get info about cost 21 greens fees and 15 for a cart.

Went to club house and asked what the cart fee was he said 17 dollars. OK, here's the pass and I need 1 cart.

34.00 sir, I said I only need 1 cart. He said they charge per seat. Your azz per seat.

I thought the idea of the pass for the golf clubs was to get new people that might repeat as customers, if so why rip them off the first time you meet them?

We already paid 120.00 for the golf package tickets. And now they want to double dip on the cart. We will not return even though we live only 8 miles from this course.

I would suggest to anyone go to Mt Grove, much nicer people not out to rip you off.

This course is in the best shape I've ever seen it. In addition to the brand new carts, the fairways and greens are in phenomenal shape. The course attracts quality golfers due to it's challenging layout and pin positions which lends itself to fast play. A hidden gem in Erie County.

I found the course moderately challenging from the tips although if you play the right tees it is fun golfes of any ability. The greens were in great shape and there was not a whole lot of break to be played on any or the putts.
The course is a classic early 1900's design with some undulation and they do have a course app that does include GPS yardages.
There are some doglegs on the front nine that can be difficult for first time players of the course but overall it is a very fun course to play and I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

I have lead a group of about (36) golfers for a weekend at the course for about (10) years. The course staff is always there to help us. We have had many great rounds at a challenging yet fair course.

This course is a lot of fun! The lay out is unlike any around. Each hole is very secluded and you don't have to worry about stray balls coming your way. If you like a little privacy while playing, this course is perfect for you. Along with the privacy, each hole is unique and the course never gets monotonous to play. I have been playing here for years and continue to enjoy myself each and every round. The fairways and greens are always in great condition and the new draining is only makes it better. The course is at a perfect difficulty. Not too hard for a beginner, yet not to easy for an avid golfer. I have a handicap of 8 and find this course to be very entertaining.

The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help out. They will always make you feel welcomed. If you are unsure where to golf and your in the area, I highly suggest you come to Culbertson Hills. You won't be disappointed!

Culbertson Hills is a family owned golf course that is owned and operated in by a trio of brothers since the early 90's. They employ a very small staff and keep the golf course in great shape, especially considering the downright horrible weather we've had the northwest Pennsylvania the last summer and a half.

We had an exceptional weather day to play, and the course conditions did not disappoint. The golf course was in fantastic shape, especially considering the horrid weather "spring" we've had so far. The greens had been aerated about a week earlier but had made a great comeback and were a non-issue. The course was surprisingly dry, and in my opinion that the golf course is "always wet" is very overstated. They are currently adding drainage ditches on multiple parts of the golf course to address some of the wetter problem areas that will continue to improve the golf course.

Overall, the golf course is very challenging for golfers of all skill levels. The white tees offer a fun challenge, and the blue tees would really test your mettle at 6800+ yards. The golf course is not overbearingly difficult and is always a fun test. The spring rates were still in effect, $25 for 18 and a cart is a steal but the course is still reasonably priced during the season at around $35 for 18/cart in the summer.

No food was available today, but I have played during events when the snack shack is open and food is served in the clubhouse and I've never been disappointed. I know they do in house catering for small groups and full field tournaments. The bar was open and is reasonably priced for the area, probably considered cheap if you're coming in to the area from a surrounding city.

Culbertson also offers a free app for your smartphone that includes a digital scorecard and free GPS which was really useful during my round, a great touch!

In my opinion, a must play for me multiple times a summer, and a must stop if you're coming to the Erie area from out of town!

Played here 30+ years ago and it was an excellent course. I play here once a year now and the quality seems to be stuck in poor. Drainage is terrible. Staff not very friendly, They have a snack shack at #7/#15 and it's never open. Cost is way too much for quality. The greens are usually in fairly good shape is the only good thing I can say. And you have to play 18 unless you want to walk 2 miles back to your car. Guess there is nothing they can do about that because of the poor design. Go down the road to Venango Valley! And no sand which it used to have.

This golf course doesnt have a 9th hole that returns to the clubhouse and no turn shack. I wouldn't recommend this course if you enjoy the ammenities of a golf course. The golf course is usually in fair condition although the layout I am not a fan of.
