Entertaining course with a better back nine
Let me state that I’m ranking the course higher than it probably truly rates as I had one of my best-ever rounds there! The course is a bit out of the way with nothing really nearby.
I had a strong day off the tee and didn’t lose a ball. I can’t recall a better day on the greens as I made almost everything from 5 to 15 feet as well as a couple of long bombs. So I’d say the greens rolled great!!!
The first nine holes are pretty flat and open, straight forward and standard. Nothing that stands out. Back nine has some longer holes, is much more interesting with elevation changes and challenging angles into greens from the fairway. The final hole is an up-hill drivable par 4 for longer hitters.
The course was pretty wet and had mud on the fairways and especially in the rough. A couple fairways on the back nine have tilt to them and are challenging. Tee boxes were solid while the greens had a number of pitch marks on them but overall were in good condition.
Truthfully, the course is probably 3 or 3.5 stars but I’m giving it four stars because of how I played on it. Your mileage may vary!
