Fair
Nice layout but they appeared to have cut down a ton of trees and they were still on the ground off the fairway. Not a lot of cart paths and was a rocky ride. On a positive note the greens were great.
Good Course Progressing to Great Course
This course was recently taken under new management and has seen a good many changes come from the change. Many of the trees have been cleared and the greens have been updated. The front nine include multiple down-hill and up-hill fairways. The fairways could used some work as many of them are hard. Also the cart paths could use some updating. However, the management has the course going in the right direction and I know it will be a great course to play on in the future. Definitely worth a round.
Talledega ain't as good as it once was But this little course is bing improved. Much more playable than 20 years ago. Lots of trees have been taken
Course condition was, not great. But the greens rolled true. Personally were very helpful and especially friendly. Got d great deal on our play.
This was my first time playing this course.
This is a lovely course just an hour from Birmingham. Just stay on the fairway and away from the trees and you will have a great round. As soon as the stumps get ground where the trees have been taken down, smoothed out and grasses planted, this will be a gorgeous course. Great views of the mountains of Georgia also.
Not bad
I payed only $15 for 18 holes which was a good value. The greens were in bad shape but it was January. I really want to go back in the spring and see how it plays with decent greens. It also plays short.
Overpriced!
This course is way way way overpriced for.the condition of course. Needs a ranger. Slow.golfers.don't allow faster golfers to play through. Needs improvements.
scenic walk in the park
the course has apparently got new money that was used to clear roughs between fairways. much of the brush still to be removed. nevertheless, had nice views of the Appalachian mtns. Side benefit was to ramble through the Talladega historic district.
