Northwood Hills Golf Course

First time playing this course, and considering how hot it's been, I was impressed with the course conditions. Greens were lush, fairways were cut and the rough was manageable enough to find an errant tee shot.

The staff is excellent; they are kind and with integrity. I left my speaker on my cart and not 5 minutes after leaving I get a call from the club house that it was there. They left it at the counter for me to pick up the following morning since I had made a separate tee time. I highly recommend this course! Also look for Hailey, she was one of the cart girls both days I played, she is one heck of a character and conversationalist!

The course is playing extremely well right now. The greens post aeration and sanding have come in beautifully. Still a little slow, but preparing for the summer heat and drought is to be expected in keeping them a little long. Think this is the best it’s played in recent years. Love access to this gem.

Quarter of the green has got some issues others are portable. Couple great greens.

Very fun course to play with an awesome hole layout and a lot of elevation changes. Course conditions were pretty good, a few greens that needed a lot of work but the greens that did not were true. Staff was nice. I’d play here again for sure!

$147 for 2 golfers 2 riders and 2 carts. Felt like I was in a cow pasture trying to golf. I hope someone invest some money because the course layout was a 10/10. Really cool holes and elevation changes and decent green layouts. Staff was very friendly even though it felt like I was stabbed in the back for that price. This should have been $60-70 for 2 golfers 2 riders and 2 carts.

No issues with the course at all. Paid 2 tee times which includes cart fees. Had to make a case to get a cart for each player. When asked why we can’t ride together, I said that we paid for 2 carts and it shouldn’t be an issue. I then mentioned that our wives would be riding with us, at which point I was told I’d have to pay an extra $20 per cart for someone to sit in the cart I already paid for. It’s absolutely ridiculous when courses get caught up in cart schemes. It’s terrible that courses do this to people with no warning. I had no choice but to pay the fee to proceed with my scheduled plans. A cart should be a flat fee, or at least post the ridiculous rules so we can choose to go somewhere else if need be.

Excellent layout. Only one weird hole that could result in hitting a car if you slice it but other than that it was fun and challenging. Greens rolled true but they are slower and in pretty good shape. Had a blast and will go back. Fairways were spotty without grass in areas but we just moved our balls to an area with grass.

I always enjoy an afternoon outing to Northwood. It's a challenging course with its elevation changes (not usually a thing in the flat part of Louisiana) and design layout. Grass is a little thin in the fairways but it's coming in nicely. All of the greens were playable with only one having visible plug and sand remnants.
