Bay Pointe Country Club

This is the second time I've played Bay Pointe, the course is in good condition, seems very well maintained.

The main problem we faced was probably due to the fact we are not members. We played on a Friday, thinking there would not be that many people out, but apparently they were getting ready for some sort of tournament starting on Saturday. One of the guys with us had never golfed before, so we played best ball, to increase our speed. We kept up with the groups in front of us as best as we could, only holding our shots when worried we would hit into them. The groups behind us never had that same concern for us. We were hot into at least a dozen times throughout the 18 hole play. Several times narrowly missed. Not once did the offending group so much as apologize. We were asked several times by staff to stop and leg groups that were playing in the tournament play through (even though we were right behind the group in front of us). The groups that played through rarely acknowledged our presence on the planet either. There was a staff person blowing cut grass off the fairways, and he repeatedly blower this grass right on us. While we sat letting groups play through. Very unprofessional, and seemed very intentional as well. The only reason we stayed was celebration of a bachelor party (no alcohol involved). The only reason they get any stars at all is because it is actually a well maintained and challenging course.

The course is pretty good . The greens were very sandy but it was the day after a Tournament.

I always enjoy playing this course. A challenging tract!!

It was a nice day, a little windy. The course is not over seeded, but has brown grass in the fairways with sparse rough (winter time). The greens are thickly sanded and really don't roll well, airiation, seeding and fertilizer would improve conditions greatly. Some greens need rebuilt entirely. The entire course could use some fertilization and upkeep. At least pick up tree limbs and blow off the leaves. The course layout is nice with tree lined fairways, water and plenty of doglegs. You'll only find two sand traps and they don't really come into play. This could be a really nice course with some maintenance. I would play it again.

Bay Pointe has always been a friendly place. The course conditions are usually better, but playing in November, one can expect less than perfect conditions. You are always welcomed by the staff and other golfers.

Pine tree lined. A lot of bare spots just off the fsirways. Ground as hard as a rock. Greens were so long they were like fairways, with sand all over them. It was hotter than a politician's britches but that's not the courses' fault.

I played on Wednesday, so, the course was not crowded. The fairways were great and the greens were consistent from hole to hole. It was fun.

Course continues to improve. They do put a lot of time and resources into repairing and keeping course in working order. I would say the overall experience is above average. Great value for the $$

You have to be accurate when you play this course. If you want to have a total gut check with your golf game play this course. I have seen 3 handicaps shoot 85 here. I believe if you can shoot par here you can shoot par anywhere!

Easy to find, Staff very courteous, Course was good and challenging, Greens need work.

This was my first time playing Bay Pointe and it was a very fun course. Challenges around every turn, a fair amount of water to avoid and a few thin fairways that really challenge your skill. But the greens were absolute garbage and were simply dirt. Not aerated and sanded...dirt! This was a little disappointing considering no one in the Pro Shop said a word about the current condition nor any future plans to improve. Based on that, I cannot recommend this course.

This course is challenging. That opening hole is a doozy! A dog leg left with a 2 level elevated green! I loved the double bogey I took on it. I had 2 beefs with this course. The course is tight overall but some of the foliage needed to be cut back to allow for playability from the back tees. I think the whites and forward would have been ok. The other thing is the greens were aweful! Im not sure if they were over sanded or what but the winter just ended and should not need that yet. With the greens being tricky in their own right this added a level of diffulculty to some greens that was not necessary. But if this course ever addresses those 2 items in my humble opinion it could be the best course in the area.
