About
One of Jim Fazio’s first solo projects, Riverchase is a surprisingly tough challenge given its lack of trees and relatively short length. The course runs through the bottomlands of the Elm Fork Trinity River and is loaded with water due to a chain of interconnecting lakes created to collect heavy rains and irrigate the course. While there are no forced carries, water comes into play at least 12 holes, and out-of-bounds is a frequent concern because of the housing community that surrounds the course.
No. 5 is the most difficult rated hole–a long dogleg right par 4 that requires a solid tee shot to be in position to reach the green in two. The approach is long and uphill into a severely back-to-front sloping green with a lake on the right and out-of-bounds and bunkers on the left.
Two holes later, No. 7 is one of the toughest approaches in all of DFW. This hole plays due south into the prevailing wind, and the elevated green has a depth of only about 25 feet. Bunkers line the back, and the slope in front is significant. Ups and downs are difficult because of the slopes in the green. Take a look at the pin placement when you’re teeing off on No. 4.
The good news is that other than out-of-bounds, the course is mostly wide open, so you’ll generally have a shot if you just miss the fairway. The only thick spot for trees is along the creek on holes 14-16.
Getting there : Take the Belt Line exit off of 635 and drive north to MacArthur. Turn right (east) and drive to Riverchase Dr., where you’ll turn left. Look for the course on the right side of the road.

Rough for $39
The greens were in decent condition but the fairways appear to have been allowed to grow too long and mowed wet. There was grass trimming rolled up all over the fairway. The fairways on some holes are similar to a pasture torn up by hogs. For $19 on a weekday it would be worth it.

Beutiful day of the round
Pretty good paced of play, perfect day of weather's.
Always friendly staff.
Also well maintained fairway and rolled greens.

Used blue tees on Saturday.
Two of young players makes slow paces every hole..because used blue tee with the others.
(Better players than two)
But thru us and another's at bck 9 holes slow paced group..No Marshall.. took 4 hours 40 minutes..

Pricing issues
I called on and asked specifically for when senior rates began in the day and was told 12:00. I booked a tee time for the following Saturday.
When we arrived Tat the course we were told there were no Senior rates in Saturdays and were etched charged $20.00 more than quoted . When I said I had confirmed it with Maria the response was that is a call center answering the phone.
Pricing isn’t on the web page other than rack rates. Weve played here many time but there must be a change in the management company. The whole experience was very disappointing.

Play at Riverchase
The grass and trees were all greening up nicely. This course is greener than any of the others we have been playing. The cart paths are horrid. The course would be so much better if the paths were fixed.

Good course really bad cart path
The actual field of play is in good condition. Open fairways and forgiving
Carts and cart path are awful.

Good Experience
The course is in good shape for the time of year. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. One thing to keep in mind is that if you need to rent clubs, they have to be returned to the clubhouse by 5:30. I wasn't able to finish my round that started with a 2:40 tee time. So if you are renting clubs, get an early start.
