Coyote Ridge Golf Club

About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Moore Golf
Challenging layout, great test for skill players.
Wonderful club atmosphere and gracious staff.
Green creep
This once excellent course is no longer kept in the sum stellar condition it once was. Quite a few of the greens are getting weed creep making putting around weed clumps difficult.
No longer worth the premium price they charge. If you want o charge a premium, you have to keep the course in excellent condition.
Overall a good course but couldn’t get past the small greens
Overall course was in good shape but many greens were small and weedy - many elevated greens so tough first time playing it - I felt it was a little overpriced based on course conditions
CR
Course was in great shape except a few holes that were under construction. They should just close those holes as they are a muddy mess and in bad shape. Rather skip it than play out of mud in the middle of the fairway. Love the course layout and was in great shape minus the few holes. Greens were mostly good but all different speeds. Some had weeds growing and were bumpy. Some were perfect and fast, and some were really slow so. Not very consistent. Cart cooler was full of ice, two waters and a towel which was really nice. Would say it’s one of the best muni courses in the area.
Challenging Course/Great Condition
There's nothing better than playing a golf course that's in excellent condition. That was the case with Coyote Ridge. It's a beautiful and challenging course. The snack bar was a great place to go over our round and have a cooling beverage afterwards.
Nice course, a bit overpriced
If you can play this one for less than 60 bucks, please do. Fun and challenging course that is always in great shape. The standard rate of $90+ is a bit pricy in my opinion.
Two different 9’s which is good
Course was in great shape. The greens were a little sandy but in good shape. Front nine was great and more forgiving. The back was great but tested your placement more. It was a great experience
Fairways were in good condition. Greens had been aerated and sanded and therefore in poor condition. I would not play again until the greens come back. Not currently worth $89.
Great Course
Layout was great, we played form the blues. There were quite a few holes that required you to leave the driver in the bag and play 200 shots off of the tee box. The par 3’s were a blast. Star was great and the cart girls were on point.
Awesome!
Will be playing again when I’m back in town, shot my lowest round ever with aerated greens.
Great course in an area of above average courses
I really like Coyote Ridge on an overall basis. Condition was way above average and its priced that way too but fair value.
The starter at the course was hilarious
The course is great, price and quality match in my opinion. But our best experience from the round came from the starter. Older gentleman who was incredibly nice in conversation and joked with us on the first hole.
Guys like this make the start of the round fun, I am genuinely giving this review because of how good an experience we had dealing with this gentleman.
It is one of the top 10 courses in Dallas.
I always feel every time I come is that the course arrangement is clearly different from other places.
