Nice course for the area
These were the better greens I’ve played in this area. Fairways were open and corse overall in good playing shape for the area. Little pricy but liked the lay out.
Gnats
Gnats and flies everywhere. Couldn’t stand still without them in your eyes and mouth. Very frustrating. Other than that, excellent service!
Nice course for the New Orleans area
Overall course is nice and better than other public course I have played in the area. Greens were best I have played in the area. Price is probably $20 higher than it should be but overall I would play the course again.
Greens Are ROUGH
Greens are in very rough shape. I don't know what happens year after year. Hole 5 was a temp green last year for a couple of months. This year it's already worse than what it was last year. They need to completely redo the greens. Everything else is great. Some of the nicest fairways and bunkers I've played locally. If the greens were decent, this would be a top course in the state.
Improving
No ownership is working on improvements, however, tee boxes are still questionable and there are more gnats on this course than any other course in Southeast Louisiana. Hoping they find a way to rid of them. Also wishing they would put a net up at the end of their driving range to help keep range balls off the #2 fairway.
Great condition minus greens
Course was actually in great condition! New ownership is turning this place around. Fairways were fantastic, rough was nice and fluffy, defining line to separate fairway and rough. The only disappointing part was the greens and some of the tee boxes. A few tee boxes were amazing, and most greens were decent, except a few holes had some craters and sand in the greens. All in all tho, really great course for the money. Give them a couple months on the greens and I think this place will be amazing. Still a good deal though for $44 on a Saturday afternoon!
Vastly improved from the previous ownership.
Course was busy but pace was steady. Great layout and very good course conditions.
Great course to play
This was my second time I played this course. The first time was 2 years ago. I travel from Nebraska to visit family and I am always looking for a course to play. This course was clean, well manicured and in great shape. The staff was helpful and seemed to really care about your experience. I know the next time I am in the area I will be golfing there.
