The course was in good early Winter condition. Range balls are included with the fees and they have a nice practice/warmup area. The greens were well kept and rolled medium-fast and true. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pace of play is stated at 4h20m but, we finished in under 4 hours. Definitely the go-to course for the Alexandria, LA area.
Need Marshall to keep the pace of play up. Had 2 5 somesomes playing back to back and would NOT let people play through. Said they were members and do what they want. Management needs to step up.
Alexandria Louisiana Gold
Only 2 courses to choose from in Alexandria. I like this one a little better. There are some tough holes. The airport is in the background on several holes.
Raining days
Everything was good but only got to play 9 holes got rained out. I bought the insurance but have no way to speak to anyone at the website
Great Course
All aspects of the course (tee boxes, fairways, greens) are in great condition right now. On busy days in the summer, they provide ice water towels to cool off, it’s a nice touch. The only complaint that you can have is the pace of play, due to the conditions and value, the course can be extremely busy on the weekends.
Favorite course
Plenty of shade to get a break from the sun. The ice and water machines are great.
