The bumpiest Aerated Greens
The greens had recently been aerated and sanded but they also needed mowing. Plinko was the only way I can describe trying to putt on these greens. I generally give a large allowance to maintenance issues but full price wasn't worth it. Try else where for a month.
Was once a great course
This course was once maintained like a country club. It is now worse than a muni. For the fee they charge, i expect much more. I have been playing this course for more than 30 years. This is the worst condition i have ever seen it. If it were not for the occaisional sprig of poa, there would be nograss on the fairways at all. And on top of that, they close the pro shop and consession area at 5 pm, with a bunch of people on the course and on the range.
It Was Wet - Plenty of Exercise
I play here about every week. The course has been wet for the past few weeks due to the rain, so cart path only. This allows plenty of walking on almost every hole. The course is being worked on more each week, and the fallen trees are being cleaned out from the ice storm.
The carts are well maintained and everyone is friendly.
This is a fun outing if you want to play some golf.
New Owners are Sprucing It Up
The new ownership is working hard to get this course back in shape. Some sand traps have been eliminated and most of the remaining are being put back as real sand traps. There is a lot of work being done, some to get the fallen trees from the ice storm out of the way and then general maintenance.
The staff has not changed. Just as nice and friendly as always.
It is always a pleasure to play here..
Great Course
Many improvements. Bunkers are way better. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.Great work by the grounds people for their efforts cleaning up after the recent storms.
Very Pleasant Surprise
Driven by Lakeland several times, but never taken the opportunity to play. Tried it out with my wife on Monday and were very glad we did. We only had time to play nine, but we will definitely come back. Some of the fairways are narrow, but regardless of how forgiving a course might be we tend to find the trees at least once per round, so why worry. The greens were in tremendous shape given the time of year. The course was well marked and the cart paths smooth making for a very comfortable ride. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great value for the money as well.
Needs to do some clean up
Play here regularly. Getting worse each year. Hopefully the new owner will cleaned up the course.
Skip this place
They could start by not charging 32 dollars for a replay. I paid 37 for 18 holes and wanted to play more. I was told the price was 32 for 18 more. Really??? The course has GRASS in the bunkers everywhere and yall are trying to rake me over the coals for 68 dollars and the course is in terrible shape! If you don't have the people to maintain the course properly then why are your rates as high as they are?
Tee times
Because of the weather change would like to see tee times moved back at least an hour or so.
Good course
Greens are usually very good but we’re significantly weather beaten
Thank you for the positive rating! We look forward to seeing you back at Stonebridge Golf Course soon.
