Lakeland Golf Club

This is a challenging yet fair course. I’ve played it several times over the years and it’s in the worst condition I’ve ever seen it. Weeds, over growth and all around neglect. I’m used to good visuals at stone bridge and today wasn’t the case. Still love the course. My hope is it will be better my next time out.

Most poorly managed and maintained course in Shelby County, possibly West Tennessee. Pins are only moved once a month. No sand in the traps. They haven’t been filled since last June. Weeds on the greens. No maintenance has been done in about 4 months. Their staff isn’t friendly and the management has no customer service relations. He thinks it’s either his way or the highway. He will tell you he doesn’t care if you ever play there again or not. Their snack bar is always understaffed. And there are many times they will close when they shouldn’t be, or even close early so you can’t play.

I normally always enjoy stonebridge as it has one of the best layouts in town. I know it is barely spring but course conditions were rough. Fairways are full of weeds and bunkers are unplayable. Greens look like they forgot some weed prevention spray, some looked like a mini garden. I have heard the course is under new management and hope this is something they are working on. All it needs is some TLC.

This is the most poorly managed and maintained course in the area. You never know when they will be open. You never know when the food and beverage is open. The sand traps are all mud and haven’t been maintained in years. The leaves got blown off the course, but not mulched, so you still can’t find your ball in the rough, and on some holes, not even in the fairway. They seldom move the pins or tee boxes. The greens are never rolled. Only good thing is you pay a winter rate. They have a new GM who knows nothing about golf or dealing with the public. And the superintendent or his crew are never working on the golf course.

Really fun golf course. Little muddy in the winter but overall good course to play.

This course has so much character. Every hole has its own challenges and even during my winter round today the course was in great condition. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I arrived and we had a great day there. The only thing not friendly about this course is how hard Hole 6 is (It always gets me!). Kidding aside I've been playing at this course for a long time and its always a fun day when this is where we decide to play.

Wonderful staff and great service when I got some food at the turn (which was tasty). Course is challenging and in great condition, especially for this time of year. Excited to come back in the spring.

The head marshal, Paul Zaleski, is one fine gentleman. He was very kind to us which made a big difference when playing a new course. He checked on us throughout the round and gave us candy. This company is lucky to have such a devoted employee. Thank you for hiring great people. It does make our visit pleasant. Hi Paul, when ya’ll comin back to Callyforny

I’m a fairly new golfer and Stonebridge was a great place to learn how to hit my driver, irons, and work on my putting because of their driving range, chipping green and large putting green! The course is always in great condition and as my game improves I’m able to par more and more holes! The day I par number 6 I will know I have arrived! The staff is great and really helpful as I learned the game...thank you Michele! The burgers are amazing and you can call in on 8 and have one waiting for you on the turn! The clubhouse is decorated well and a great place for a wedding or an event with an outdoor covered area as well!

Played in winter time, course looks great for the weather season we are in!

Greens roled great, fairways were cute fine. Overall great course.

If I had to complain about anything, only thing was the breaks on golf carts were a little sensitive, but we all adjusted to it after a couple holes.

This is by far my favorite public course in Memphis for the price.

The course was in good shape and the greens were good and the people there were really nice. It was really worth the money and thanks to GolfNow I get to play a lot more than I ever did.

The staff at the course is very friendly. For the time of year, the course was in great condition. My only complaints: 1. it’s a bit pricey and 2. I was a single player and when I got to the course for my tee time there was no one on the first tee nor anyone on the first hole but the ranger insisted I wait until the twosome, who was also assigned the same tee time, to show up (even though they were a few minutes late), which slowed my pace of play.

Course was in nice shape and was at a reasonable price for the wife and I. We went back and played a second game.

Me and a buddy have played this course 3 times and it is great every time. The course is challenging enough for a decent golfer but not to difficult for a beginner.

Staff is great! The last time we played the course was packed so we only got to play the front 9 but they let us rain check the back 9 for whenever we could come back.

They have a beer cart that comes around every few holes or so which is nice also.

Definitely would recommend this course!

Great course. Close to where I live. Staff is always friendly and goes above and beyond to accommodate. I have played hundreds of rounds of golf here and keep coming back.
