I played on the weekend and there were way too many divot marks in the greens. This is not entirely the course's fault but the people who play it. Other than that, the course was in great shape and was worth the money in today's market. The bottom line is I would play it again.
Didn’t get a chance to play because of a family emergency during the night
A little disappointed
First, I’ll start with a positive: This is a good course for someone who is learning to play and doesn’t want to lose golf balls. Few bunkers and few hazards and not overly long. That’s a good thing
Problems: Pace of play was glacial at times. I waited 7-10 on every hole of the front 9 and the ranger had the audacity to tell us to play faster. I’m literally right behind the group in front. The lady in the clubhouse says the same thing to me at the turn as I’m just buying a new glove for the back 9 and presents more attitude to me about making sure they start their league on time. Again, I’ve waited on every tee. Not my problem. Greens were ok but pretty slow and bumpy and fairways were pretty shaggy and again that’s fine, I can live with that but it’s a thing you notice more when you are waiting.
Overall, it’s a fine course. Not mindblowing, I’d probably play it again someday but I’m not going out of my way to do that. I play 90 rounds a year and I love giving my business to small courses but didn’t feel welcomed or appreciated this time around.
Slow pace
Some beginners in front of us played very slow and although a ranger told them a few times to pick up nothing happened. A +5h round. Person in club house insisted it was group ahead when the group was +10 min in front. Course is good for practice of swing or for beginners. Conditions is below average.
Soggy day
We were paired with 2 young guys and had a great day. The course has a great layout. The downside was that the course does not hold water well. Holes were playable but carts needed to stay on the cart path due to the soggy fairways. Would definately golf here again but would pay attention to what weather the course had earlier. Ranger and check in staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Golf
The pace was a little slow on back nine. They had a ranger who didn’t seem to do anything but drive around on his cart.
