Nice course. Well run operation
Solid golf course for early season. Great customer service!
I like the layout of the course
I will play it again. I had a great time. The pace of play was a little slow, but it was just because of the group in front of us, there was no one in front of them.
Boring, unimaginative design...
This golf course was too easy, even with tiny greens. It's flat and predictable with no bunkering which is fine for beginner and intermediate players. The problem lies in the fact that it's not worth the money they charge non-walking seniors. I would never pay to play at Shamrock at their standard rates when there are better courses to play at the same or better rates near by (i.e; Baker National, Pioneer Creek, Timber Creek to name 3). Heck, even Pheasant Acres might be slightly more interesting and that track was boring to me (and over-priced!)
Find another place to play!!
I paid for 18 holes & cart on Golf Now. Checked in with no issues and after 9 holes a course "pro" with an awful attitude forced me into a cart with the threesome I was paired with. He stated that they run out of carts, 99.9% of courses do that (lie) and I only paid for a seat!! Here's the thing, there was 25+ carts just sitting there empty and after 25 years of playing this game I've never been asked to join a cart with strangers. There were several groups out there that had just one player to a cart, so what this guys problem is, I have no idea. Terrible golf experience and absolutely the last time I play there. All it will take is an accident involving alcohol, and a lawsuit to put an end to this. When I questioned this mad decision the "pro" puffed out his chest and acted like he owned the place.
Great Course
This course was a lot of fun. Staff was friendly and we even teed off early. The only minor critique I have is that there are not many water hazards or bunkers, which makes the course pretty easy, even for a beginner. Then again, that is a plus for other people.
We are doing the same at our course. Get used to it. What happened in your golfing past doesn't matter anymore. Revenue is created from carts and when people don't want to share carts then you either walk or pay for the entire cart. You cannot have a cart to yourself (unless you pay for both seats) when demand is peaking. You have no rights at the golf course. We set the rules.
