Designer Earl Stone's vision of a traditional yet demanding test of golf comes to life at Hickory Hill Country Club. Water comes into play on 10 holes, demanding strict attention to shot placement and strategy.
The 6,983 yard, par-72 layout is scenic enough to put a player's mind at ease, while challenging enough for even the most expert golfers. A course rating of 73.1 and a slope of 128 has enabled Hickory Hill to host numerous high profile events.

Great time
My wife and I often go to Hickory Hills course because it’s a nice relaxing round and the pace is not always so fast that we can’t try and hone our skills better. Course is not perfect but perfectly fine for the average golfer with forgiving fairways but also challenging hazards and layouts.
It’s been let go.
I worked here back in high school in 94, 95 & 96. The course use to host the Nike tour back then and it’s sad to see how this course has been let go. Tee boxes and fairways are covered in weeds. Bunkers are not kept up and you won’t be able to putt a true line on the poorly maintained greens. I’ve played here twice in the last 5 yrs and both times have been a huge disappointment. This course use to be a gem course to play on the coast and now it can’t even be used as a practice course.
Course maintenance
This course has no desire to improve.could be really greatthis is real simple..employees sitting on riding lawn mowers and not cutting grass!please…you hit great shot down the middle and can’t find your ball..greens unplayable.actually closed for repair!charge me 55.00..and said course in good shape!!stay away!!!!
Golf 8/18
Great course great staff course fairways need some TLC but great golf venue enjoy the course and fantastic staff
What it could be
This course built in the 1960’s was a pristine course and has changed hands numerous times through the years declining each time. Maintenance of the course is horrendous, drinking water is nonexistent in the south Mississippi heat. Bahia Grass Fairways are partially cut
Greens all hold water on fringe causing your ball to plug. .
Course is a little rough
Played the front 9 after a night with some typical overnight rain. Some Greeks very slow and some fast. Course condition in general was alright. Apparently they have been working hard to get it back into shape so progress is being made. Some areas are worse than others, some unmaintained t boxes and bunkers. Other than that it was good. Fun course, nice people and clubhouse. As we finished hole 9 there were a line of about 6 carts waiting to start so it was getting backed up.
Nice challenging course
Raised greens - long par 3’s - par 5’s birdie chances - tall grass off the fairways makes the course challenging. Great time!!
Good value for your money .
Very friendly staff. Greens in pretty good shape. I enjoyed playing the course.
An enjoyable experience
This course has a good layout. Very challenging drives and approaches, like hole #2 which was tough and exciting. The pro shop staff was very professional and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to playing there again. If you're down in the Mississippi Gulf Coast, check out this golf course
Hickory Hill
I liked the course. Tees, fairways, and greens were all in good shape. Nice layout. Wide fairways. Everyone I encountered was friendly. Pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a nice bar/grill and patio for post round festivities. I recommend this course.
Course Conditions
Overall pleased with the course conditions. Al the greens were nice. Fairways were not in the best shape on each hole but no where near terrible.
It's a pretty nice place to play
I feel like as long as you know ahead of time that this isn't a high end course you will be satisfied. The layout of the course is nice and the greens were very soft the day we played. The fairways were in pretty good shape, the rough was a bit more challenging. Some bare spots and quite a bit of roots. But I cannot complain at all about this place. I would recommend this course to anyone, especially if they can get a good deal like we did.
The course was well worth the $25 we paid on the app. I wouldn't pay the $50 that is the regular price.
