Stonecreek Golf Club
About
The course is set on a 165-acre parcel off Hwy. 213 in Oregon City. Built at an estimated cost of $7.5 million, it features two distinct nines - the front half situated in a meadow-like setting and the back nine winding through towering Douglas fir trees and bordering wetlands. In addition to its namesake Stone Creek, the course has three lakes, four wetlands areas and 41 bunkers. There are four sets of tees, playing from 5,123 to the "Jacobsen" tees at 6,840 yards.
A full-service pro shop and deli are located in the clubhouse, which has a spacious outdoor deck overlooking the 18th green. Next to the clubhouse is a large tented area for private parties, tournament function, weddings and other catered events. An expansive 6 1/2-acre driving range with all grass tees and target greens serves as a convenient on-site practice area
Another unique aspect of Stone Creek Golf Club is the excellent drainage. Significant resources were expended to ensure the driest course conditions for year-round play. According to Golf Course Superintendent David Phipps, "At most courses in the Northwest during the winter months, the ball doesn't roll much, but here you'll see the ball actually bouncing down the fairway in January."
Two of the most scenic holes are par-3s. the 180-yd. No. 6 played over a lake from the Jacobsen tees, and the 141-yd. No. 14, which necessitates a drive over wetlands and consideration of a stack of boulders protecting the green. One of Peter Jacobsen's favorite holes is the par-4 ninth, a 397-yard challenge from the back tees with two fairways to choose from - an upper elevated landing area with a clear view of the green; or a lower approach through a narrow opening between bunkers.
After a round of golf, golfers can relax at the clubhouse with outdoor seating on a large deck overlooking the 18th green
With its large tented area for special events, Stone Creek Golf Club is a prime spot for hosting tournaments, weddings, corporate outings and other large groups.

Fun but challenging
The course has two personalities with an open links feel on the front and a tighter traditional feel. It is hard to score consistently, but every hole offers a chance to score well. Hitting fairways is critical. It is a stout walk. Hats off to those who do it regularly.
While it may not be the best beginners course, it certainly a wonderful for the more seasoned (or just plain persistent) golfer.
Great Time
Enjoy the course enjoy the amenities and enjoy the staff very pleasant people
Best Value Around
Great course for all levels of play. Very friendly staff. Overall the best value for golf in the Portland area. At least as good and better then the pricier courses around and far better than the local munis.
Agonizingly slow on a Wednesday afternoon
The greens and fairways were in great shape but the rough was very long and any balls hit out of the fairways were pretty much lost. The group in front of us (of course playing the black and the blue tees) spent all day searching for balls in the really long grass directly in front of many of the tee boxes. No marshals to be found. We had to skip a hole to get past them so we could finish in less than 5 hours. Not a fun experience. Won’t be back anytime soon.
Great Staff
I was at Stone Creek on recent holiday weekend morning My group often plays here early because this course really seems to care about keeping the pace brisk early in the morning. Very courteous staff. Looking forward to our next visit. Played in under 4 hours!
Confused course staff
My group has played this course no less than ten times a year since it has opened, we prefer it because of its great condition. Staff is usually friendly and well informed, not so much on this round. We were approached by the marshal no less than three times telling us we were out of position. Our tee time was 6:34 am, so there were only a couple of groups in front of us, each time we spoke with marshal the group behind us was one hole behind and we were close but not waiting on group in front. At the turn one of our players had an exchange with the starter about being eight minutes behind. We finished in 4 hrs and 15 min. On a holiday weekend, not bad. We plan not to play there this week! Golf is supposed to be fun!
Course is in excellent condition
Great staff, range is grass no mats! Course is in pristine shape and greens were the best I’ve played on any public course in the Portland area.
Beautiful and it has it's risk and reward
This is a beautiful golf course. It is a challenge for all skill levels. I would say it is more of a players track overall. Undulating fairways, some narrowness on the back nine and deep bunkers guard many of the greens, This is a great course for the mid to low handicap golfer, but really interesting for any golfer. Also, a very accommodating and friendly staff.
Really nice
Stone Creek was a really enjoyable experience. Staff super helpful and friendly. Nice pace of play and in good condition.
Always a pleasure
Driest winter course in Portland metro area.
Staff is always friendly, and pace of play stays constant.
Play this course about 30 times a year, and always look forward to the next round
OK
GOOD DAY TO PLAY GOLF COOL. FAIRWAYS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT GREENS STILL ROUGH FROM PLUGING LAST WEEK.
In my backyard
I live very close and course is beautiful and a blast to play. Front side let the big dog out.....back side thread the needle whole different course.
Love the challange!
Great track
Awesome value, incredible
Course conditions one of the best courses in the area and definitely the beat value
Great Winter course
This is one of the few courses in the Portland area that is playable year round. Drains very well. Front nine plays links like. And the back has elevation changes and through the trees. Greens are fast during the Summer months. Great course for the mid handicap player. Highter handicaps will lose a few balls.
Great Winter course
I have played this course several times this winter and it is holding up amazing. Oregon golf in February? Yep.
