The staff is always friendly. The course is always in great shape to play
Perfect course
It’s a great course I’ve been playing there since a kid and never had a problem.
River Wilds
Course condition was really good and lush. Greens were firm, smooth and fast. The size of the small greens made this course a difficult test which is exactly what I like.
Value
Worth the half hour drive to avoid the line of pack 4somes in the city. Dudes behind the counter were fun easy going and pretty excited for the business. Layout was fun. It’s not a country club, the price doesn’t reflect it- and that why I chose it. I don’t expect to play Augusta in Rural Nebraska. Greens were rough. Fairways were clean. They were reseeding a couple of tee boxes which is understandable.
Best public course out there
Definitely the best value for your money. The course is challenging and the wife variety of holes allows for use of a lot of clubs. The course is well maintained, even when it rained.
Nice course!
It'd been about 5 years since I played this course. I had forgotten how nice of a golf course River Wilds really was. Staff was friendly, value was superb and the course was in great shape! Greens were immaculate and the fairways and rough were well taken care of.
5 hour round, 95 Degrees, No Bev cart, no ranger
If you have a whole day to devote to a round of golf and don't mind never seeing a beverage cart or a filled water cooler, even on a hot weekend afternoon then by all means, head to River Wilds. It is a decent layout and usually in good shape but is not managed well.
Hidden Fem
How is this course not more popular? It's is challenging, especially from the back tees. It's in pristine condition. I will drive here all day any day.... Better than most Omaha Courses
Very well maintained and challenging course
Today was my first round at this course. It was in great condition! The greens rolled true, the fairways and tee boxes were cut short, and the rough was plush. The greens are some of the smallest I've played for quite some time, so be prepared to get plenty of chipping practice if your irons aren't accurate. There are 3-4 holes that require a little local knowledge because of blind tee shots or dogleg fairways. I asked the staff about these holes when we checked in and was clued in appropriately. We started the round at 8:30am, and we finished 18 at noon. The price for 18 with a cart was reasonable, and I would definitely play this course again.
The price needs to be around 20 dollars with a cart, not worth the money paid!!!
Great for singles or pairs
Took almost 5 hours to play 18 holes but that was because we played with a couple that made things interesting. Quality of the golf carts was a pleasant surprise considering the quality of the course as was the scorecard that enabled you to track almost everything by hand. Will be definitely going back again.
Great Course and Great Value
The course is well maintained. It is an enjoyable course. Not to difficult, but not too easy. The greens are a little smaller than average which makes it a little more difficult, but the course is not very long. The par 5's are reachable in 2 if you have a decent drive. It is a very nice course and reasonably priced. I also like that they will let you play on your own rather than making you join other people to make a foursome for all tee times.
