The Sanctuary Golf Club

Sanctuary is one of the friendliest courses in northeast Ohio. Always magnificently groomed for as much play as it gets. Layout is fair, not too tough, but you need to hit well to score well. No. 7 has a drainage problem, but that's the only maintenance downside on the course. Very relaxing place to play.

This was 3rd time playing here. I first played back in late 2019, then again in spring of 2020, while on business in the Canton area. First, I found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and very welcoming. Second, I found the course to be a very good test of golf, including some blind shots, water hazards, and a decent length from the back tees, which I enjoy playing from when able to (as long as it's not 7,000+ yds.). Third, the conditions of the tees, fairways, rough and greens were very good each time I played there. Overall a very good experience, and one that I have already recommended to friends who travel to the Canton/Akron area.

Playing golf in December in Ohio, priceless. The Sanctuary was in great shape, no leaves on the course and the greens rolled well. We teed off late and thought we could get as many holes in as we could. The starter caught up to us and explained that was not the case but was so kind to say just keep playing and be back by 4:30. We did that and I will be back to play again once the snow is gone!!

The Sanctuary Golf Course is Fabulous! Well worth the greens fee's. Pace of plat was fast and the layout is wonderfully. Greens were consistent. I highly recommend this golf course!

The course was in great shape, and the greens rolled really well. I have always enjoyed the layout of the course and the people that work there.

Sanctuary is always a treat--conditions were great for end of November. Staff is cheery! Pace of play was fabulous. Attention to health safety was fabulous and appreciated! Keep up the good work!

We played the Sanctuary on a nice sunny day in early November. The course was in pristine shape. It was challenging yet fair. A twosome got around the course in 3hours and 18 minutes. We were never rushed nor did we feel like we were playing fast. It's a great layout with some esthetically pleasing views. I highly recommend it.

Very nice course to play and a very friendly staff that work there. The girl that works the carts and starts you off is very friendly and easy to get along with. The greens were very fast and held the ball on approach shots very well. I would definitely play there again

Over the last two years, on business travel, I've played all 18 holes at the Sanctuary, plus two more 9 hole rounds. First, I enjoy that the holes are not repetitive or boring, and that the terrain is a nice mix of level and hilly throughout the course. The conditioning was always very good, as was the pace of play. The staff that I encountered were always friendly and enthusiastic without fail. Actually hoping to play there again next week (weather and daylight permitting). I will and have recommended this course to a number of golfing friends.

Well to start off. We ended up running late due to car trouble. Was late for our tee time, but the staff was so great they actually worked with us and put us a little bit later and let us keep our tea time. Course was great. Play was a little slow bc of older players in front of us. overall I get this course at 5 out of 5. I will be going back.

The course itself is very nice. I got no problems being paired up with other golfers. But please be more discerning on who is playing. The jeans shorts and track suit should have been a NO on the group we were paired with. Let alone constant walking in our ball line. Ruined what otherwise would have been a fantastic course. I implore you you have a nice course please be more discerning who you let play. Not fun waiting for someone to make 3 4 shots to catch your drive and stepping right in your putting line.

I like playing here because the course is always in great shape.And the staff are great.

The conditions were spectacular. A great round of golf.

I love playing here. Course in excellent shape, is well run, and the golf course staff is friendly. 2nd time playing here and both times able to play 18 in around 3 1/2 hours. Am planning on playing here more, it's one of the nicer public courses in the area.

Beautiful course! Greens were punched recently and I look forward to returning in the fall. Threesome held play up with 3 holes open in front of them. No Rangers during Covid but that stacks a course up. Course was in excellent condition and soft areas were clearly marked to keep carts away. Worth the drive from CLE and staff friendly and professional.

Staff very friendly; COVID protections in place and visible - well done! Greens are rough due to aeration but fairways nicely cut, rough a bit thick, but appears to have handled recent heavy rains very well. Some challenging holes and several good scoring holes. Will return when greens are finished. Beautiful views throughout. First time I’ve played there. Overall, very nice!
