Alderbrook Golf Club
About
Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club is consistently ranked as one of the top 25 courses in the Pacific Northwest. The course is known for being one of the most scenic in Washington as well as one of the most playable. Though it's member owned, it's open to the public. Throughout the course you'll enjoy incredible views of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains. The layout is challenging but fair, offering a test of your skills without being overly punishing. Rolling fairways are lined with mature Evergreen trees and the large, fast greens make pin placement a challenge. The front nine is fairly tight but the golf course opens up on the back nine. Alderbrook's final hole is the layout's most memorable. Scoring par on this double-dogleg par 5 is something to be very proud of.

This is more of an intermediate course for seniors, that is how I would describe it.
If you hit the ball about 275 yards off the tee...Even the blue tees will be too easy. Worst part is with that distance, you won't be hitting driver except on a couple of Par 5's. (Even those are a bit funky).
* Like the views
* Disliked the hole layouts. Short, and many holes require less than a 3 iron to tee oiff.
* I Dislike any Par 5 that starts with a 6-iron, followed by another 6 iron.
* I dislike yardage measurements being a bit inaccurate.
* I dislike trick golf holes.
* I dislike 18 hole courses that are too short.
* I like the finishing hole. That may be the prettiest hole and most fun on the course.
On a scale from 1-100 in Likability to the course, I would give it a 21. Better than Walter Hall but, not better than Legion in Everett. Clearly not "The Classic" and Brookdale in Tacoma is better.
